Iqrar Ul Hassan, a renowned Pakistani anchor known for his investigative journalism, has turned his attention to a series of dangerous air conditioner (AC) explosions occurring across Pakistan.
Recently, he has been probing into these incidents, which have resulted in several fatalities. Reports indicate that there have been multiple AC blasts in various cities: two in Faisalabad, two in DI Khan, one in Karachi, and one in Rawalpindi.
These explosions are caused by the accumulation of gas within enclosed spaces. A minor electrical spark can ignite this gas, leading to devastating fires. The dangers associated with these blasts have prompted Iqrar Ul Hassan to raise public awareness.
In response, he has released an informative video on his Instagram account, aiming to educate the public about the risks and safety measures related to AC explosions. This initiative highlights the urgent need for awareness and preventive measures to avoid such tragic incidents in the future.
Talking about AC explosions, he said, “Things are getting scary as incidents of AC blasts are increasing day by day in Pakistan. We were already investigating two cases of air conditioner explosions when two more blasts were reported, resulting in the deaths of a lady and a popular businessman after they were severely burned. The police have now officially confirmed that these blasts are happening because of the air conditioners being used in homes or offices. Previously, in Faisalabad, two AC explosions occurred, causing the deaths of 14 people. Now, two more incidents have come to the light. These incidents are very dangerous because we all use ACs at home, and sometimes we visit areas where air conditioners are installed. We are investigating this matter and will soon share the causes of these AC blasts.”
