Many old artists from PTV and films have experienced lives filled with pain and poverty after their prime ended, a fate that veteran artist Khawaja Saleem also faced.
Khawaja Saleem recently lost his toes due to diabetes, leading to gangrene in his foot. He now resides in his daughter’s house, having sold his own house, car, bikes, and even the awards he won for his acting to manage his circumstances. He revealed that no one came to assist him during this difficult time, highlighting that such treatment of an artist is unique to Pakistan.
