  • Mehmood Aslam expresses deep love for Pakistan, despite opportunities to leave.
  • He highlights Pakistan’s low passport ranking, mistreatment abroad, and overall dysfunction.
  • Mehmood Argues for fair pay and respect for Pakistani artists to achieve similar fame and success.

Veteran actor Mehmood Aslam, known for his extensive work in theatre, dramas, and films, including his role in the long-running sitcom “Bulbulay,” recently shared his candid views on a podcast.

With over four decades in the industry, Aslam spoke about his deep love for Pakistan, emphasizing that despite having opportunities to leave, he chose to stay in his homeland.

Aslam expressed his disappointment with the current state of the country, stating that Pakistanis have little to be proud of. He highlighted issues such as Pakistan’s low passport ranking, mistreatment of Pakistanis abroad, and the country’s overall dysfunction.

He lamented the nation’s decline and criticized the leaders for the country’s poor condition.

Additionally, Aslam compared the support Indian actors receive from their country to the lack of support Pakistani actors experience.

Speaking with fellow actor Adnan Shah Tipu, who has worked internationally, Aslam argued that if Pakistani artists were paid fairly and treated with the same respect as their Indian counterparts, they too could achieve similar levels of fame and success. Tipu agreed, noting the exploitation of artists in Pakistan.
