  • “Shan e Ramzan” is a popular Ramadan transmission on mainstream television.
  • Host Waseem Badami introduces segments featuring children, including Ahmed Shah and his brothers.
  • Previously, objections were raised about including children in these shows.

Every year, Ramadan transmissions become a staple, with all channels presenting their versions and segments of hour-long broadcasts. “Shan e Ramzan” stands out as one of the oldest transmissions airing on mainstream television, with Waseem Badami serving as the primary host and introducing several segments in the show.

One of the highlights is a segment featuring kids, including Ahmed Shah, who gained fame from a viral video, and his brothers, who have become part of the transmission. People have previously raised objections about including kids in these shows.

This year, viral child Vlogger Shiraz and his sister Muskan were also invited, leading many people to feel that this was exploitation for TRPs. Mishi Khan also shared this sentiment.

Waseem Badami has now come forward with his statement. Talking to Something Haute, he said that “he will not want for any other kid that he does not want for his kids. He added that he would invite all the kids of Pakistan to the show if he could. Badami also said that they let the children be children and do not pressure them into faking anything.”
