However, the 40-year-old singer emphasized that this incident underscores a need for a more positive online environment and a reevaluation of celebrity interactions. “The broader discussion today revolves around the necessity for a slightly more positive atmosphere on the internet. Many individuals make such requests (to the paparazzi) because they recognize the abundance of negativity online. When they share something normal or constructive, it often goes unnoticed or receives minimal attention,” she explained. Bhasin expressed concern about the trend of seeking attention through negative comments, noting that this phenomenon extends beyond just paparazzi-related content. “Beyond the issue of privacy, there exists a deficit of a positive environment on the internet overall. This should be a greater concern than solely focusing on the privacy of celebrities. It’s reminiscent of an evolved version of past gossip magazines that used to thrive,” she emphasized.

Addressing the broader complexities surrounding public perception and the challenges of fame, the singer reflected, “More than the paparazzi, it’s also the public’s perception that they can freely express themselves, comment, or react however they choose when it involves a celebrity. It’s a facet of the celebrity lifestyle. I’m not suggesting that it’s always enjoyable, but there’s an awareness that it’s a part of this lifestyle.”

Following the untimely passing of his close friend and fellow actor, Satish Kaushik, Anupam Kher has been purposefully prioritizing spending time with Satish’s daughter, Vanshika. He frequently shares glimpses of their encounters on social media. He recognizes this endeavour as a way to fill the void in Vanshika’s life, while also addressing his own sense of loss.

“Even before Satish’s demise, I would often visit their home and engage in conversations with her. However, after his passing, I consciously make an effort to set aside time and genuinely invest in our interactions to ensure she feels the presence of a fatherly figure in her life,” Kher expresses. He adds, “I cannot replace Satish in her life; that role is irreplaceable. Yet, I can certainly offer her emotional strength. This is a mutual process; I, too, require strength as I’ve lost a part of myself. My bond with Satish was strong—he would call me daily. I miss him every single day. He was a consistent presence in my life.”

On the occasion of Friendship Day, the 68-year-old actor posted a photograph featuring himself alongside his closest companions, Anil Kapoor and Satish. In the caption, he wrote, “Missing Satish a little more today.”

Kher empathizes with the challenges that Kaushik’s daughter has encountered and recognizes her need for an outlet to express her emotions. “Vanshika experienced the loss of her father at a vulnerable age. I, too, have lost a dear friend. It’s important for her to understand her father’s essence as a person, colleague, friend, and actor. She might not be able to openly express her feelings within her immediate surroundings or to her mother, given her state of mind. Vanshika is a bright young girl. She requires a channel for her emotions. She deserves to know that her father was an exceptional individual. I share stories about her father that evoke laughter, and this brings her joy. While I cannot bring back Satish, I can spend time with his daughter, revisiting those moments or places we frequented together.”

Reflecting on Vanshika’s coping process, Kher discloses, “She has gradually begun to open up. Following Satish’s demise, she had become quite reserved. Presently, she enjoys discussing various topics. She shares details about her day, her friends, and other aspects of her life. This shift exudes positivity. Positivity holds contagious energy—ensuring the happiness and well-being of others is of utmost significance. My father used to say that the simplest thing in the world is to bring joy to someone. I simply put this into practice.”

Vahbiz Dorabjee recently used her social media platform to criticize individuals who subjected her to online criticism for sharing a Barbie video. While this might appear to be an example of a strong woman defending herself, the actress emphasizes that there is a deeper significance to her actions. She explains, “I am particularly sensitive about this topic due to its personal nature. During my upbringing, I witnessed similar occurrences within my own household, involving my mother.”

Going into specifics about her mother’s struggles, Dorabjee recounts, “My mother had previously held the title of Miss Pune and possessed an exquisite and slender physique. However, following the birth of my brother and me, she experienced weight gain, leading to numerous instances where people belittled her. I witnessed her tears and observed her inability to voice her thoughts freely.”

Nonetheless, when Vahbiz Dorabjee herself faced trolling due to health-related weight gain, she chose not to remain passive. Instead, she chose to counter such negativity and express her opinions. She asserts, “Drawing strength from my mother’s example, even if she could not voice her own opinions, I possess a platform to do so, and I will utilize it.” She admits that she did not always possess this level of resilience, acknowledging that in the past, hurtful comments affected her deeply. She remarks, “During the initial stages of my career, I was relatively slender. However, due to health issues, I began gaining weight and subsequently faced extensive criticism. This phase was incredibly challenging, and my self-confidence was shattered. I would break down and weep, questioning the price I was paying. However, this consistent negativity transformed me into an unyielding individual. It took me several years to accept myself and reconcile with the fact that losing weight wouldn’t be easy. This self-acceptance led to a shift in my perception of my body, and as I began to respect myself, those around me followed suit.”

At present, Vahbiz Dorabjee is content and unperturbed by negative remarks, thanks to her resolute stance. She states, “The trolling has somewhat subsided. People familiar with me or my followers are aware that I feel comfortable in my own skin and will respond resolutely when questioned or trolled about my appearance.” She goes on to share how many women reach out to her after viewing her posts, sharing their own experiences. “This isn’t just confined to actors. Women who are on the curvier side encounter this issue regularly. As I address this topic on my social media, numerous women approach me to discuss their daily struggles. If I can inspire even a few of them to develop the confidence to stand up for themselves, I would consider it a positive outcome,” she concludes.

“Cinema has been reduced to vulgar business of numbers”, Isha Talwar

Isha Talwar recently took to her Instagram account to share the IMDB ratings of recently released Indian films, urging the “real writers to stand up” and address the situation. According to the actor, the industry’s suffering is a consequence of the prevailing obsession with box office figures.

“Cinema has been reduced to a vulgar business of numbers. Do you remember having discussion about the box office performance or the first week collection during the 1990s. No!. But now it’s all about algorithm…ki kis picture ne kitna business kara. People are criticising the content and still they are reaching ₹500 crore mark, which I don’t understand how,” she says urging makers to “at least see what you are making”.

She goes on to elaborate that not providing opportunities to new talents contributes to the recycling of the same old content. “We have rendered the industry inaccessible for newcomers. Breaking into it is nearly impossible for emerging talents. The narratives circulating in the market have instilled so much fear in potential talent that they hesitate to step towards the industry,” she reveals. Here, the 35-year-old poses a question, “But if we don’t welcome fresh talent, how can our output meet the standards?”

Isha Talwar also highlights that the industry doesn’t function based on merit alone; individuals receive opportunities not solely due to their talent, but due to various other factors.

“They don’t recognize your value and aptitude. To be part of a big-budget film, you must be a recognizable face. Without the existence of OTT platforms, would actors like me find work? I’m uncertain. I grappled for a decade without any prospects, until Mirzapur happened. Even today, after projects like Saas Bahu and Flamingo, I continue to audition. All I can assert is that proficiency isn’t sufficient here,” she asserts. Yet, when inquired if her outspokenness about the industry’s issues stems from anger, Talwar clarifies, “No.”

Rather, she expounds, “It stems from a place of concern. It’s not that I lack scripts. I have a substantial workload. I’m engaged in a Punjabi project. I hold immense respect for regional cinema, considering the content we craft for pan India. However, I would appreciate the creation of engaging pan India films. I don’t recall the last time I enjoyed a good Bollywood commercial film. In contrast, I recently watched the Korean movie ‘Past Life,’ and it was so captivating that I would choose to watch it again over a Bollywood film,” Isha Talwar concludes.

Celebrating 15 years since the release of “Bachna Ae Haseeno,” Minissha Lamba takes a nostalgic trip down memory lane, reminiscing about her time working on the film and her chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor. The movie holds a special place in Minissha Lamba’s heart as she describes it as a pivotal moment in her career.

Lamba, who portrayed the character Mahi in the film, recollects her involvement in the Siddharth Anand-directed project when she received the offer. However, she unveils an intriguing detail – she only received her portion of the script. She discloses, “I was unaware of the other characters’ storylines. I broadly knew what the story was, but I only received my script. So, the details, individual scenes, songs, and everything else, I saw for the first time on screen when in the show kept for the cast and crew. The story was unfolding just like the audience for me.” As one of the three women that Ranbir Kapoor’s character falls in love with in the film, Lamba’s on-screen rapport with Kapoor is described as “seamless and effortless.” Reflecting on their dynamic, she reveals, “When we were shooting, Ranbir was very shy and kept to himself at that point. We didn’t interact that much, but the moment the camera turned on, there was a different kind of ease and chemistry. In fact, we required minimal takes, and our shots would be done in maximum third take.”

The film, which also featured Deepika Padukone and Bipasha Basu, was extensively shot in various locations including Switzerland, Mumbai, and Sydney. Lamba’s character journey unfolds in Switzerland and later shifts to Amritsar. Among the numerous memories from filming, Lamba emphasizes the significance of the scenes shot in Switzerland.

Minissha Lamba reflects, “Showing Mahi as a young girl, going on a holiday, that too abroad, finding the love of her life… it was all how it exactly happens in movies. It was so much fun, especially the adventures that made us experience new thrills like riding a roller coaster on a glacier and playfully indulging in stealing chocolates from a store in a carefree manner for the scene.”

The character development posed a challenge for Lamba, as her role transitioned from a carefree young girl in the first half to a married woman and mother of two in the latter part. She admits, “More than the young Mahi, the other part of being in a marriage where there was no heart and affection, was difficult to play because I had nothing to draw on. Yet, there had to be a distinct difference between the girl she was and the woman she became.” It’s worth noting that Lamba made her digital debut earlier this year with the short film “Badtameez Dil.”

Originally shared on the Latest Sightings YouTube channel a few years back, the video has recently resurfaced on Reddit, causing a delightful sensation. Filmed by Andrew Cohen at South Africa’s Kruger National Park, the video showcases the unexpected encounter in all its glory.

He explained, “We were going for our late afternoon drive while taking it very slowly when we came up to a reservoir and decided to stop and watch for a while. We saw a buffalo cow walking out from behind the bush towards the waterhole, and in tow was her brand new little calf following diligently behind her. We then noticed the ellie [Elephant] coming from the left-hand side towards the mom and baby buffalo. It seemed as if he wanted to interact with them both, but this baby wasn’t having any of it! As soon as the young buffalo caught a glimpse of the elephant, he charged towards him and had the ellie pedalling backward and trumpeting.”

Cohen recounts his initial concern for the young buffalo’s safety, only to witness the giant elephant’s careful retreat, evidently avoiding any harm to the spirited calf. A heartwarming Reddit post is capturing the emotions of many as a man recounts a touching interaction with his stepson.

He shared the special experience of his stepson referring to him as “dad” for the very first time, and what made it even more special was that this moment occurred in front of the boy’s friends.

“My stepson called me dad in front of his friends,” reads the title of the post. In the next few lines, he explained more about the heartwarming incident.

“I have been with my wife for 4 years. She has a 12-year-old son from a previous relationship. He has never hated me, but it’s clear he misses his dad. He’s mainly just called me by my name. I don’t necessarily like it but I would never force him to call me dad. Today he wanted to go with his friends to an amusement park and he asked me to come with them which already made me happy so of course I said yes. But when his friends got in the car, there was one of them who I’ve never met before, and he introduced me as his dad,” the Reddit user wrote.

He also explained how he felt when he heard the kid calling him “dad”. “I started smiling when he said that and I think he noticed because he looked at me and rolled his eyes while laughing.
