This could potentially lead to a remarkable total worldwide gross of around 200 crores, given the encouraging trend observed so far.

Ukrainian official reports heavy clashes in northeast

Ukraine’s counter-offensive focuses on creating separation between Russian-held territories and reclaiming ground around Bakhmut.

A senior Ukrainian official reported intense fighting in the country’s northeast on Sunday, with Kyiv’s forces holding their ground and making progress in certain areas.

In response, Russia’s military claimed that Ukrainian forces had been halted in the northeast. They also stated that three Ukrainian drones attempting to strike Moscow were brought down, and a high-rise building, reportedly housing government offices, was damaged.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy described the situation on the front as “a good day, a powerful day,” especially near Bakhmut, where Ukrainian forces are reclaiming territory lost to Russian forces in May.

While Ukraine did not directly claim responsibility for the drone attacks, Zelenskiy asserted that the war was gradually returning to Russia’s symbolic centers.

Russian forces continued night-time air attacks, hitting a “non-residential building” in Kharkiv, causing a fire but no reported casualties.

Zelenskiy also updated the death toll from a Russian strike on a school in Sumy on Saturday, which now stands at two after search and rescue efforts.

Ukrainian Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Maliar stated that Russian forces were attempting to drive them out of elevated positions in the northeast, previously occupied by Moscow but retaken by Ukrainian troops after the February 2022 invasion.

Maliar highlighted the Russians’ aim to divert Ukrainian forces from the successful offensive in the Bakhmut area.

She emphasized that Ukrainian troops resisted the continuous attacks, pushing back the enemy with significant losses.

Ukraine’s counter-offensive last month focused on a southward campaign to create a separation between Russian-held territories in the east and the annexed Crimean peninsula, as well as reclaiming ground around Bakhmut.

However, fierce fighting has also erupted around Ukrainian-held towns like Kupiansk and Lyman in the northeast.

Maliar acknowledged that Russian forces were determined to recapture areas on the southern front previously taken by Ukraine.

Despite regaining 200 sq. km. in the south, progress was limited due to entrenched Russian positions and the presence of mines.

According to Russia’s Defence Ministry, its forces spotted and deployed rockets to destroy an armoured brigade of Ukrainian troops near Svatove, a key Russian-held town in the northeast.

The Russians also claimed to have repelled four Ukrainian attacks near the town of Lyman, further south.

Woman’s Hospitalization Linked to Excessive Water Consumption

In Toronto, Canada, a TikTok user participated in the popular fitness challenge “75 Hard” and ended up in the hospital.

The challenge requires rigorous workouts twice a day, strict dieting, and drinking a gallon of water daily, with no alcohol or cheat meals allowed.

Michelle Fairburn, a mom, and realtor, documented her experience on TikTok, where she believed she developed water poisoning due to excessive water intake.

She suffered from symptoms like nausea, weakness, frequent bathroom trips at night, and loss of appetite.

At the hospital, Fairburn was diagnosed with severe sodium deficiency, a potentially life-threatening condition if left untreated.

The doctor advised her to limit water consumption to less than half a liter per day, as opposed to the excessive four liters required by the challenge.

Despite her health scare, Fairburn expressed her determination to continue with the “75 Hard” challenge, refusing to give up.

Notably, the challenge was created by Andy Frisella, a podcaster and CEO of a supplement company, and it has faced criticism from experts for its extreme nature, raising concerns about possible burnout.

“Sodium deficiency actually can be fatal. So now I’m going to the hospital and they’re going to check everything and then apparently they can raise my sodium gradually. I’m still gonna do the 75 hard challenge, and I’m not gonna give up, but he says I have to drink less than half a liter of water a day. I cannot believe this is happening,” she said in one of her videos.

Fairburn’s experience underscored the significance of paying attention to one’s body and taking into account the possible risks associated with such challenges.

Typhoon Doksuri Triggers Mass Evacuations in China

Thousands of residents were forced to evacuate their homes as the remnants of Typhoon Doksuri brought unprecedented rainfall in Beijing China, leading to flight cancellations, flooding, and road closures.

The neighbouring city of Tianjin and Hebei province was also affected by heavy rain following the typhoon’s downgrade to a tropical depression.

The Hai River basin experienced rising water levels in three of its five rivers, causing some houses to be swept into the Yongding River. In Baoding City, approximately 55,000 people were evacuated to safer areas.

Doksuri was among the most powerful storms to hit China in recent years, resulting in widespread flooding in Fujian province and displacing hundreds of thousands of people from their homes.

Beijing recorded a substantial amount of rainfall, with the maximum in Mentougou district reaching 580.9 mm (23 inches). The Beijing observatory issued a red alert for heavy rainfall, and the Beijing Hydrology Station upgraded its flood warning with the expectation of more rain and river flooding.

The impact of the storm led to the evacuation of over 31,000 people in Beijing, suspension of work at more than 4,000 construction sites, inspections of nearly 20,000 buildings for damage, and closure of scenic spots in the city.

Flight operations at both airports in the capital were disrupted, with over 180 flights canceled and many more delayed. Train passengers who were stranded received food and drinking water from railway authorities.

The heavy rain affected approximately 358 roads in Beijing. So far, there have been no reported casualties or significant damage in the city.

However, in northern Hebei province, Doksuri’s impact was more severe, with a driver reported missing after two trucks fell off a collapsed bridge in Baoding city and a freight railway bridge washed away in Shijiazhuang city.

Although Doksuri is weakening, forecasters warned that Typhoon Khanun was approaching and expected to make landfall on China’s densely populated coast later in the week.

Authorities are concerned that Khanun may cause additional damage to crops that have already been affected by Doksuri.

A TikToker from Toronto, Canada, was hospitalised after participating in the viral fitness challenge “75 Hard.” This challenge necessitates intense workouts twice a day, a precise diet, and a gallon of water every day. No alcohol or ”cheat meals” are permitted, and participants must work out for 45 minutes, read 10 pages every day, and take a daily progress photo, according to the New York Post.

Michelle Fairburn, mother and realtor, posted a video on TikTok saying that she feared she had water poisoning from overuse of water. She had nausea, weakness, multiple bathroom trips throughout the night, and was unable to eat. Fairburn was finally taken to the hospital and diagnosed with severe salt deficiency, which can be fatal if left untreated. Instead of the excessive four litres, the doctor suggested her to drink less than half a litre of water per day.

Despite the health scare, Fairburn stated her commitment to complete the challenge and stated that she would not give up. The “75 Hard” challenge was devised by Andy Frisella, a podcaster and the CEO of a supplement firm. Some experts have criticised the challenge for its extreme nature, which could lead to burnout.

“Sodium deficiency can be fatal.” So now I’m headed to the hospital, where they’ll check everything and presumably gradually increase my sodium. I’m still going to undertake the 75-hour challenge and I’m not going to give up, but he says I can only drink half a litre of water every day. ”I can’t believe it’s happening,” she remarked in one of her videos.

Fairburn’s experience demonstrated the significance of listening to one’s body and understanding the hazards associated with such undertakings.

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs 24 per kg.

According to the notification issued in this regard, the domestic LPG cylinder price has been increased by Rs.282 and the commercial cylinder price has been increased by Rs.1083.

LPG price per kg has increased from Rs 177 to Rs 201 while the price of 11.8 kg domestic cylinder has increased to Rs 2,374 from Rs 2,092.

The price of commercial cylinder has increased from Rs 8,049 to Rs 9,132.
