All major online platforms in the country offered significant discounts for Diwali, and Indians around the country took advantage of the lower product prices. Flipkart was ordered by a man from Mangaluru. He was surprised when he did not receive the thing he had ordered. Instead, he received a large stone and some e-waste.
The strange, yet not so unusual, incident was revealed after the man turned to Twitter. Chinmaya Ramana, the man’s name, resorted to social media to discuss his ordeal. He also tweeted images of the delivery. Ramana stated, “Ordered for laptop and received a big stone and E-waste! During Diwali sale on Flipkart (sic)!”
I ordered a laptop and received a large stone and E-waste instead! Flipkart is having a Diwali deal! @geekyranjit @VicPranav…
In a subsequent post, the man stated, “Today I’m regretting my self for choosing Flipkart for every time. For those who are reading this if you don’t want to feel the same, then just don’t order on Flipkart. If something goes wrong they won’t help you. You will feel helpless like me (sic)!”
Ramana went so far as to make an unboxing video. He also mentioned that the product did not come with an open-box delivery system. The latter technique was implemented to prevent customers from receiving incorrect merchandise.
Though Ramana appeared to have given up hope of resolving his problem, the company stepped in and reimbursed his entire payment.

“Flipkart helped me in this case, they issued me the refund,” he wrote.
