According to authorities, a 12-year-old girl was discovered bleeding and writhing in pain on the premises of a government guest home in the Tirwa district on Tuesday. A video purportedly showing bystanders filming the injured girl leaked on the internet. In the footage, a police officer is seen escorting the girl to an auto rickshaw to transport her to the hospital. The girl went out to buy a gullak (piggy bank) on Sunday but did not return home, prompting his family members to start looking for her, according to Superintendent of Police Kunwar Anupam Singh. A frightening story is being revealed through a series of videos.

It appears that a kid accompanied the girl, but because medical results have not yet arrived, rape cannot be proven, he said. The guard of the guest house noticed the girl bathed in blood and squirming in anguish and called the police, according to the SP.

Manoj Pandey, the officer in charge of the police outpost, said he arrived quickly and transported the girl to the hospital.

Singh stated that the girl was later referred to Kanpur for treatment. According to the CCTV footage from a camera at the guest house, the girl was observed conversing with the youth. “The identity of youth is being ascertained. Only after the reports, could it be said whether the girl was raped on not,” the SP stated. He stated that a thorough investigation is underway.
