Customers of Apple in India can also trade in any compatible smartphone during this Christmas season for an additional discount on a new iPhone.

The sales announcements coincided with the ongoing Flipkart Big Billion Days 2022 sale and the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2022 sale.

Additionally, there are a number of No Cost EMI alternatives for Apple devices from the majority of top banks.

Additionally, as part of its Diwali celebrations, the Cupertino business will offer a free online session with Sikh musician Keerat Kaur on Wednesday.

According to a statement from Apple, customers with HDFC Bank and American Express credit cards can get a 7 percent instant discount, up to INR 7,000, on purchases from the Apple India store that cost more than INR 41,900 during the Diwali season.

Additionally, the business will provide a No Cost EMI option with terms of 3 or 6 months.

Last but not least, the Cupertino business will offer a free online session with artist Keerat Kaur on October 5 from 8 pm to 9:30 pm IST as part of its Today at Apple campaign.

According to the firm, Kaur will direct users to sketch using the Procreate app on an iPad or any other app they may have loaded after choosing a meaningful word or phrase.

For the fixed-focus 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera, there is a waterdrop notch. A 2MP depth sensor and a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera are on the rear.

The Helio G35 chipset is compatible with the A16, A16s, and A16K. Storage has 64GB, while RAM is 4GB.

The Oppo A17 has two SIM card slots and a micro SD card slot that can accommodate up to 1 TB of additional storage.

The A17’s micro USB connector is used to charge the device’s 5,000 mAh battery. The power key’s integrated fingerprint reader and ColorOS 12.1, which is based on Android 12, are additional attractions.

Lake Blue and Midnight Black are the colors that are offered for the leather back.

Currently, the phone costs MYR 599, or roughly $130, in Malaysia. Although the price in Singapore has not yet been determined, it is also available for pre-order there.

Rupee recovers as market awaits new Finance Minister

The rupee recorded a major gain against the dollar on Monday as the market rejoiced at the news of the likely appointment of Ishaq Dar as the new finance minister.

The exchange rate witnessed a gain of Rs2.63 to reach Rs237.02 against the dollar from Friday’s closing of Rs239.65 at the interbank exchange market.

Analysts said that the market is optimistic that the upcoming finance minister will likely take measures to arrest the flight of the dollar to support the local economy.

Dar, known for keeping the rupee overvalued against the dollar, is expected to become the country’s new finance minister after Miftah Ismail officially resigns from his post.

The latest recovery in the value of the local unit can also be attributed to a decline in the international oil prices which slid to below $80/barrel.

Pakistan is a net importer of petroleum products and any change in the global oil prices directly impacts the current account of the country.

The expected inflows of the foreign currency in the future from multilateral institutions and friendly countries to help Pakistan fight against flood losses also helped the rupee regain its ground.

The government also secured some economic support from Saudi Arabia, to provide the required stability to the exchange rate.

In cooperation with Axis Bank, Samsung India unveiled a credit card.

In addition to other benefits like access to airport lounges, reward points for the financial institution, and a 1% fuel surcharge waiver, the corporation is offering 10% cashback on purchases.

There are two tiers of service: Signature and Infinite. While the latter is limited to INR 5,000 and INR 20,000, the former has a monthly cashback cap of INR 2,500 or INR 10,000 annually.

All Samsung items are included in the arrangement, including smartphones, smart wearables, laptops, TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, microwaves, and other appliances.

There is no maximum purchase amount or minimum transaction amount for Samsung. Only some channels will accept Cashback Credit, and it may take up to 60 days for it to show up in the user’s profile.

The new offering, according to Axis Bank CEO, aims to penetrate Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in addition to the Top 10 cities.

According to a Visa executive, 3 out of 4 Indians purchase at least one electronic device each year, spending about INR 40,000.

On the specific page of the Samsung India website, applications for the Samsung Axis Credit Card will soon be available.

Apple has officially announced that it has begun producing the iPhone 14 in India.

The newest iPhone model, which was just introduced, is the first to be made in the nation shortly after its release.

The Foxconn factory close to Chennai is where the smartphone is produced.

Since several years ago, Apple has been contract manufacturing four different iPhone models in India with the help of its business partners.

However, a quarter or two after its debut, the phone production cycles were delayed.

Apple will save import fees and taxes by manufacturing the new iPhone 14 domestically, but the brand won’t lower the smartphone’s price in the country, as it hasn’t done with the prior versions either.

Foxconn is a global leader in the production of electronics.

The ‘Made in India’ label will appear on the iPhone 14 when it is sold both domestically and internationally.

However, it will take a few weeks before clients can receive the Indian-made product.

“We’re excited to be manufacturing iPhone 14 in India,” Apple said in a statement.

“The new iPhone 14 lineup introduces groundbreaking new technologies and important safety capabilities.”

In a previous report, JP Morgan predicted that Apple would shift 5 percent of the manufacturing of the iPhone 14 to India by the end of 2022 and 25 percent of the total production of iPhones to the country by 2025.
