Lynne Mishele, whose Los Angeles home was burned down in the sad car accident that killed Anne Heche last week, turned to Instagram after learning of the actress’s passing.

“The news of Anne Heche passing is devastating. Her family and her friends and her children, especially, really have suffered a great loss, and my heart goes out for them,” she said in a short video.

“This entire situation is just tragic and there really are just no words. I’m sending love to everyone involved,” she continued.

 

A neighbor who spoke to reporters following the accident said Mishele was “extremely fortunate” that she was in a different room when the crash occurred. The house caught fire “almost immediately” after Heche’s MINI Cooper slammed into it, and drove “almost all the way through.”

Mishele sought medical assistance for minor injuries following the accident.

Kourtney Kardashian has joined her  husband Travis Barker on Machine Gun Kelly’s Mainstream Sellout Tour, assuming the role of “tour wife.”

The Kardashians star posted many sexy photos of the Poosh CEO, 43, and the Blink-182 drummer, 46, on her Instagram account.

“Tour wife,” Kourtney captioned the set of pictures, which included backstage snaps. Barker commented on her post, “Tour life’s better with you,” and added a black heart and devil face emoticon.

 

In a separate post, shared on Aug. 12, the mother-of-three posted pictures of herself straddling Barker during a rehearsal. She captioned the post, “Time for drum practice.”

Her husband responded, “Favorite time of the day,” adding a black heart emoticon.

The drummer also posted a video of their PDA moment during rehearsal on his own IG handle. “Practice makes perfect,” he wrote, to which the Keeping Up With the Kardashians responded, “When you can’t see and you’re still the most,” adding five fire icons.”

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif formed a committee on Monday to address the issues confronting foreign investment firms, notably those relating to the Gwadar Free Zone.

Within ten days, the committee will present a complete report to the prime minister, along with suggestions. Prime Minister Sharif, who presided over a high-level investment meeting, stated that Chinese investment firms would be given priority treatment.

He instructed that barriers in the issuing of visas to Chinese people be removed without prejudice against project workers associated with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) or with other nations.

The prime minister charged the Investment Board, the Planning Ministry, and the Finance Ministry with developing a comprehensive plan to encourage investment.
Federal ministers including Miftah Ismael, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Ahsan Iqbal, as well as advisors Tariq Fatemi and Zafaruddine Mehmood, attended the conference. Companies have invested $10 billion in energy, infrastructure, trains, and other projects, according to the prime minister.

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is yet to decide its candidate for the by-elections in NA-246 Lyari. The party seniors failed to finalize name of the candidate while the names of Nabeel Gabol, Nadir Gabol, or Yusuf Baloch are under consideration, BOL News reported on Monday. 

According to the details, at first, the senior leadership of PPP decided to give the party ticket to Asifa Bhutto Zardari to give a tough competition to Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in the by-election.

After consultation with the leadership of the People’s Party and the Karachi Division, it was decided that Asifa Bhutto would not compete in the elections and Nabil Gabol and Yusuf Baloch were instructed to submit their papers.

Lyari being the home of PPP in Karachi, the leadership is keen to wipe it out in the upcoming elections as it was previously won by the PTI candidate. After the dismissal of PTI members by the speaker of the National Assembly, Raja Parvez Ashraf, the chairman of PTI and party leadership decided that Imran Khan himself would submit the papers to fight elections in all nine constituencies.

Jon Batiste has resigned from his position as bandleader for Late Night with Stephen Colbert. Thursday evening’s late-night host made the announcement. Louis Cato, who has been stepping in for Batiste over the summer, will assume his responsibilities. Stephen Colbert stated that the remainder of Batiste’s Stay Human group will remain together before introducing Louis Cato and the Late Show Band to his studio audience.

The album We Are by Batiste won the Album of the Year Grammy, one of its 11 nominations, earlier this year. He has received a total of five awards and shares an Oscar with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for Soul’s Best Original Score.

Colbert broke the news of Batiste’s departure gently, explaining that he was leaving “for all the best reasons, including to continue sharing his art with the world.” Alas, the announcement did not include an in-person sendoff (Joe Walsh, the Eagles guitarist that has been sitting in with the group, was ready to pop out of a cake, apparently), but Colbert said he’s been “so lucky to have a front row seat to Jon’s incredible talent for seven years.”

 

Batiste has led Colbert’s band since the show’s inception in 2015. The 35-year-old is a member of the famed Batiste family of musicians from New Orleans, which also includes composer Harold Batiste, clarinettist Alvin Batiste, Lionel Batiste of the Treme Brass Band, and Jon’s nephew Russell Batiste, a member of the Funky Meters. Early in their partnership, Colbert and Batiste travelled to New Orleans, where Jon exposed Stephen to his roots.
