Vivo Y02s specs leaked before launch

Vivo Y02s specs (rumored)

The Vivo Y02s will have a 6.51-inch IPS LCD screen with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, pronounced bezels, and a dewdrop notch for the front camera, according to earlier rumors.

3GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage will be used with the MediaTek Helio G35. A microSD card slot will be available on the gadget for storage expansion.

The gadget will ship with both the FunTouchOS 12 skin and Android 12 OS preinstalled. Its battery is anticipated to have a capacity of 5,000mAh and support 10W rapid charging.

The handset will include an 8-megapixel sensor with an LED flash on the back for optics. It will have a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

US court declines to acquit Bannon but considers dismissing

A jury found Bannon, 68, guilty of two misdemeanour counts on Friday for refusing to deliver evidence or records to a House of Representatives select committee investigating Trump supporters’ rampage on January 6, 2021.

U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols ruled on Wednesday that Bannon’s last-ditch bid for the court to acquit him of the charges lacked merit.

“The court concludes that the evidence presented in the government’s case was sufficient to sustain a conviction,” Nichols wrote.

However, the judge stated that he still needs additional legal filings from both parties before he can rule on Bannon’s second request that Nichols drops the charges.

Bannon reiterated his request to dismiss the case last week, alleging that he would not receive a fair trial as Nichols previously denied Bannon’s request to subpoena prominent House Democrats, including the chairman of the select committee.

Biden spoke without the hoarse voice he had displayed in recent virtual appearances.

‘My symptoms were mild, my recovery was quick, and I’m feeling great,’ President Joe Biden told a group of White House aides Wednesday in his first public appearance since contracting COVID.
Biden’s physician, Kevin O’Connor, wrote in a letter released earlier Wednesday that the president’s symptoms are “steadily improving” and “almost completely resolved.” He stated that Biden tested negative for COVID-19 on Tuesday night and again on Wednesday morning, and that he could lift his strict isolation measures.

The president contrasted his own COVID-19 experience with that of former President Donald Trump, who contracted the virus in October 2020 before vaccinations were available.

“The bottom line is that when my predecessor was diagnosed with COVID, he had to be helicoptered to Walter Reed Medical Center. He was in critical condition. He thankfully recovered. I worked from upstairs at the White House for five days after receiving COVID. The difference, of course, is vaccinations.”

As Biden remained isolated, the White House attempted to portray him as a working president, releasing photos of him on the phone and at his desk, featuring Biden in pre-recorded videos, and scheduling virtual events.

People who have tested positive for COVID-19 can go out in public after five days if they wear a well-fitting mask, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

The White House went the extra mile by waiting until Biden received a negative antigen test result.

During his confinement, the White House provided daily updates on Biden’s condition, but did not make O’Connor, the White House physician, available to answer media questions.

Long after many top aides, Cabinet members, the vice president, and even his chief medical adviser had been infected by the coronavirus, Biden tested positive.

Officials said they expected Biden to test positive and had a plan in place to deal with it.

Some Paxlovid recipients have experienced rebound infections, which can occur as soon as a few days after testing negative.

Britain is targeting Russian officials in a new round of sanctions

Samsung’s latest smartphone camera to be 450 MP

Samsung trademarked the word “Hexa²pixel” for an image sensor with 450 MP resolution.
The sensor would perform 36-in-1 pixel binning, which is the joining of several 66 pixels into a single pixel.
Samsung hasn’t said when its camera will go on sale, but we’ll hear more next year.

Samsung is developing revolutionary camera technology that will enable mobile devices to reach an astounding 450 MP resolution.

The word “Hexa²pixel,” which is defined in the application as “image sensors for photographic devices,” has been trademarked by the company.

GalaxyClub was the first to notice this, but Ice Universe has since tweeted about the trademark and hinted at its resolution.

According to the tip, the future Hexa²pixel image sensor would be able to perform 36-in-1 pixel binning, which is the joining of several 66 pixels into a single pixel. This is significantly better than the Tetracell (22) and Nonapixel (33) arrangements that are already on the market. If the intended resolution is 12MP, this means that a massive 432MP—which can be rounded to 450MP—will be compressed into a single image.

This has a resolution that is more than twice as high as Samsung’s 200MP ISOCELL HP1 (1.22″ by 0.64″ pixels) and HP3 (1.4″ by 0.56″ pixels).

Given the “2” in Hexa²pixel and the fact that both HP sensors have 12MP and 50MP outputs, it seems likely that they can also produce additional outputs.

When a 33 or 66 arrangement is used, 12MP and 48MP output resolutions are appropriate. Since so many pixels must fit into a single image, binning will be required.

As of right now, all we know is that Samsung is developing such a sensor, and we don’t know when it will go on sale. Most certainly, next year, we’ll hear more.

British woman falls to death on hiking trip in Italy

The woman, 56, who has not been identified, fell about 30m (100ft) on Sunday, according to Italy’s Alpine Rescue service.

A mountain rescue team was immediately dispatched to the area where her body was discovered, and she was pronounced dead. Her husband was airlifted away.

The incident occurred on a section of the path where, according to the rescue service, there was no rope for protection.

It is the second British tragedy in Italy in the last week, following the death of a man at Lake Garda after jumping from a boat to save his son.

The Dolomites, located in northern Italy’s Alps, are a popular summer hiking destination.

The couple was hiking on the Santner via ferrata trail, which ascends to over 2,000m (6,500ft) and passes through small gullies and narrow passes.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says Boris Johnson should not “disappear” after stepping down as UK PM.
He said he wants him to remain “somewhere in politics in a position to be someone” Mr Johnson presented the Ukrainian president with the Sir Winston Churchill Leadership Award.

Boris Johnson, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, is a “big friend” of his country and should not “disappear” after stepping down.

In an interview with TalkTV, he expressed his desire for the UK prime minister to remain “somewhere in politics in a position to be someone.”

On Tuesday, Mr. Johnson presented Mr. Zelensky with the Sir Winston Churchill Leadership Award.

The prime minister will step down on September 6.

This will come after the announcement of his successor the day before – either Foreign Secretary Liz Truss or former chancellor Rishi Sunak – after Conservative Party members voted for a new leader.

Mr Johnson has made several trips to Ukraine since Vladimir Putin launched the invasion on February 24.

‘Positive energy’
The Sir Winston Churchill Leadership Award, which the prime minister presented to Mr Zelensky via video link during a Downing Street ceremony, honours “extraordinary leadership by individuals.”

Previous recipients include the Prince of Wales, Sir John Major and Baroness Thatcher of the United Kingdom, and Madeleine Albright and James Baker of the United States.

Mr Zelensky said on Talk TV’s Piers Morgan Uncensored with his wife, First Lady Olena Zelenska: “I have no right to participate in UK politics. What I can say is that [Mr Johnson] is a great supporter of Ukraine.

“I want him to be somewhere in politics, to be someone. I don’t want him to go away, but the decision is ultimately up to the British people.

“But I am confident that whatever position he takes, he will always support Ukraine. This is from the bottom of my heart.”

When asked what he would say to Ms Truss or Mr Sunak as prime minister, he said he would be “happy to cooperate” with either, “like we used to have with Boris.”

“I know those two candidates are very respectful, and they have the people’s and society’s support in the UK,” Mr Zelensky said.

“We are aware of this assistance. We are aware of those leaders’ positive strength.”

Mr Johnson resigned as Prime Minister on July 7, 2019, less than three years after winning a landslide victory in the 2019 general election.

Months of criticism from Downing Street parties during Covid lockdowns and other controversies prompted widespread calls for his resignation, including from his own MPs.

British dad and son poisoned in Bangladesh, police say

Husnara, 45, and Samira, 20, are in critical condition while Sadiqul, 24, is receiving treatment. The mother and daughter are critically ill in hospital.
Post-mortem examinations have been performed and sent to Dhaka. Foreign Office providing consular assistance to British family following incident.

According to police, a father and son from Cardiff died and three other family members are in intensive care after being poisoned in Bangladesh.

The family was staying in a flat near Sylhet, a city in Bangladesh’s northeast.

After relatives raised the alarm, police officers broke into the building on Tuesday morning.

Rafiqul Islam, 51, and his son Mahiqul, 16, were killed on their way to the hospital, while his wife and two other children are receiving treatment.

The Riverside family was on a two-month visit to the country when they were discovered unconscious.

Husnara, 45, and Samira, 20, were in critical condition, according to Supt Farid Uddin, while Sadiqul, 24, was receiving treatment.

“We believe this may have been a case of poisoning after discussing the overall situation with the doctors and inspecting the scene,” he said.

“The other people in the building are the victims’ close relatives.” We interrogated them. We believe they fell asleep shortly after dinner last night.

“This needs to be looked into further.” How did they get poisoned? How did they perish? After an investigation, we will be able to confirm.”

He claimed that relatives called police after hearing no sound coming from the flat.

Officers broke into the house and found five unconscious victims inside.

“After they were taken to the hospital, the father and the youngest son were declared dead,” Supt Uddin added.

“The mother and daughter are critically ill.” They have been moved to the intensive care unit. Sadiqul, the other brother, is being treated.”

He stated that all five family members were sleeping in the same room on Monday night, and that when they did not wake up at around 10:00 p.m. local time, family members raised the alarm.

Initially thought to be food poisoning, the incident is now being investigated by police.

Post-mortem examinations have been performed and sent to Dhaka. The results could take up to five days to arrive.

“Everyone is shocked,” said Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, assistant secretary of the Bangladeshi Association in Cardiff.

“It’s summer holidays and a lot of British-Bangladeshi people are in Bangladesh right now, especially in Sylhet, Osmani Nagar, and Tajpur, where this incident happened,” Muhibur Islam said.

“It is something we will never forget.” We are praying for him.”

“The entire community itself is in shock of a well-known family, very well known in the area over the years,” Muhibur Islam of Jalalia Mosque and Islamic education centre added.

“It’s simply disbelief.” That’s what it is: total disbelief.”

“We are providing consular assistance to a British family following an incident in Bangladesh and are in contact with the local authorities,” the Foreign Office said.

Lulo Rose: Angola pink diamond believed to be largest found in 300 years

It is thought to be the largest pink diamond mined since the Daria-i-Noor discovered in India.
Similar stones have previously sold for tens of millions of dollars at auction.

This 34-gram rare pink diamond is thought to be the largest discovered in the last 300 years.

The 170 carat stone has been dubbed the “Lulo Rose” after the Angolan mine where it was discovered.

It is thought to be the largest pink diamond mined since the 185-carat Daria-i-Noor, which was cut from a larger stone and now sits among Iran’s crown jewels.

The Lulo Rose is a type 2a diamond, which means it is free of impurities.

“This record and spectacular pink diamond recovered from Lulo continues to highlight Angola as an important player on the global stage,” said Angola’s minister of mineral resources, Diamantino Azevedo.

It is the fifth largest diamond recovered from Australia’s Lucapa Diamond Company and the Angolan government’s Lulo mine.

Similar diamonds have previously sold for tens of millions of dollars, with one, known as Pink Star, fetching $71.2 million (£59 million) at a Hong Kong auction in 2017.

The largest known pink diamond is the Daria-i-Noor, discovered in India and now part of the Iranian crown jewels, which experts believe was cut from a larger stone. Another diamond cut from the same stone is included in the collection.

The Cullinan diamond, discovered in South Africa in 1905, is the largest rough diamond of any colour ever recorded.

It weighed 3,107 carats, or slightly more than half a kilogramme, and was cut into 105 different stones.

The largest of these, the Cullinan I, is the world’s largest clear cut diamond and is part of the UK Crown Jewels.
