KARACHI: “We will not leave the people of Baluchistan alone in these hard times,” says the former president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari during a meeting with Chief Minister of Baluchistan Abdul Quddus Bazinjo here at Bilawal House on Monday, BOL News reports.

In the meeting, the Provincial Minister of Water Resources Mohammad Khan Lehri along with the CM discussed issues related to the water crisis in the province. Asif Ai Zardari expressed concerns about the water deficit in Balochistan and assured Abdul Quddus Bazinjo of full cooperation in resolving the issue of the province.

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman told Abdul Quddus Bajinjo that he will continue to play its buoyant role in the solution of the issues of Balochistan.

“The PPP has always solved the problems of Balochistan on a priority basis, we will never leave the people of Balochistan alone,” the former president said.

Akshay Kumar, the actor, has responded to a query about entering politics. The actor was speaking at the Pall Mall Institute of Directors’ book launch for Hindujas and Bollywood. When asked about joining politics, the actor said he was “very happy” doing movies.

Akshay started his career with Saugandh in 1991, but his first financial triumph came with the action movie Khiladi (1992), which spawned the Khiladi film series. In his three-decade career, he has appeared in approximately 100 films. He has also received numerous honours, including a National Film Award. He was most recently seen in the historical drama Samrat Prithviraj, which was released in theatres on June 3. The film is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and stars Manushi Chillar, Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana, and Sakshi Tanwar.

When asked about joining politics on the occasion, Akshay told PTI that he tries to do his part through cinema. “I am very happy making films… As an actor, I do whatever possible to take up social issues. I have produced 150 films, the one nearest to my heart is Raksha Bandhan. I produce commercial films, sometimes with social issues. I produce three-four films a year,” Akshay who was the chief guest at the event, said. As per the report, Aanand L Rai’s directorial Raksha Bandhan is his latest effort.

Akshay has previously answered a query about entering politics. Speaking on the sidelines of a 2019 event in Delhi, Akshay responded, “Never, I want to be happy. I love films and I contribute to my country through my films. This is my job.”
Akshay has multiple projects in the works, including Raksha Bandhan, which is planned to hit theatres on August 11. Bhumi Pednekar, Sadia Khateeb, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, and Smrithi Srikanth also appear in the film. He’s also working on Raj Mehta’s Selfie alongside Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty. Akshay will also appear alongside Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushratt in Abhishek Sharma’s Ram Setu.

Spanish authorities announced Monday that they had seized three underwater drones capable of transporting large amounts of drugs from Morocco to Spain and had dismantled a gang suspected of manufacturing them.

Officers seized three “drone submarines” under construction and arrested eight people in Spain, according to a police statement.

“The three — two of which were being built and one which was practically completed — were to be delivered to French drug traffickers for transporting large quantities of cocaine,” it said.

Each one could carry up to 200 kilogrammes (440 pounds) of product.

Police said it was the first time they had seized such devices, which are officially known as unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs).

“Especially the ‘traffic police’ is providing safe assistance to the stranded citizens by evacuating them safely to their destinations. Citizens are urged to report any emergencies to the helpline 15,” the spokesperson said.

As per the details, the District Police and Traffic Police are engaged in performing their duties using all possible resources to assist the citizens in Karachi.
Pakistan Meteorological Department chief told Bol News, “The first spell of monsoon has poured in most of the areas of Karachi. By tonight, light rain and drizzle are likely to continue intermittently.”
According to the chief meteorologist, tomorrow will be cloudy weather and there is a chance of rain.
“Another system is moving ahead from the Bay of Bengal. The system is currently present in the East of India.”

Ankit and Sachin Bhiwani were arrested by the Special Cell NDR. Sachin Bhiwani hid four Sidhu MooseWala’s shooters.

On May 29, assailants killed Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala in Jawaharke, Mansa district. Moose Wala was shot a day after losing state security. His cousin and a friend were also hurt in the attack.
