According to a legal expert, Amber Heard might face jail time because “she is lying about things under oath”

Amber Heard

According to a legal expert, Amber Heard might face jail time for charges she ‘changed injury images’ during Johnny Depp’s trial.

A Defamation lawyer, Aaron Minc, told JOE that “a few days ago,” he didn’t think Heard could face prosecution for anything she stated on the stand during her ex-husband, Johnny Depp’s, defamation trial. But, as the case neared its conclusion on Friday, he changed his mind.

“I think that, as this case goes on, and we start seeing more and more objective evidence that she is lying about things under oath, that’s when it starts crossing the line into the possibility that she is fabricating evidence, fabricating photos, fabricating bruises, altering evidence and then submitting it,” the legal expert said.

Minc said fabricating evidence is not only “really serious”, but also “really offensive” to the justice system.

“I would hope that prosecutors would take a close look at it because if there is very clear evidence that she did that, that should certainly be considered,” Minc said.

Minc added: “If it was proven that that was the case, and there’s certainly some questions being raised in the trial currently, that could potentially lead to a criminal prosecution and jail time.”

On the Jubilee, Prince William and Charles will “just exchange pleasantries” with Prince Harry

Prince Harry will return to the United Kingdom with his family this week for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, and a royal expert predicts he will be greeted coldly by his brother and father, Prince William and Charles.

In an interview with OK! Magazine, royal analyst Duncan Larcombe stated that Harry and Meghan Markle’s trip is not intended to mend their gap with the royal family, but rather to honour the Queen.

Members of the royal family, including Charles, William, and Kate Middleton, are also wary of mixing with the Sussexes due to their proclivity for speaking to the press.

“Of course, when they do comeback, they Royals won’t say anything to them apart from pleasantries because they won’t want it reported back and put on, you know, ‘Harry and Meghan sat with Oprah’ again,” said Larcombe.

He then continued: “It’s very difficult for William and Charles to say anything to them because that trust has been sold, to put it bluntly.”

He then added that the presence of their kids, Archie and Lilibet, might be the only welcome distraction from the frostiness.

Judge praises attorneys and court workers for their ‘professionalism’ in the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard trial

Judge

On Friday, the jury in the high-profile defamation case between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard began deliberations after six weeks of testimony.

While there was no result on Friday, Judge Penney Azcarate, who discharged the jurors for the holiday weekend, praised both sides’ legal teams and court employees for their professionalism during the hearings.

“I just want to thank all of you for the professionalism and your hard work during this case,” she said.

“It’s much easier being a judge when you have excellent trial attorneys in front of you it does make it easier, she added.

“And I also want to thank the attorneys and litigants for the kindness and the great demeanour you have shown my staff. And the courthouse staff and the deputies in the sheriff’s department, I really appreciate it. It means a great deal to me,” said judge Azcarate.

The courtroom erupted in laughter at this last comment and people began to clap, to which Judge Azcarate smiled: “Well that’s a first.”

The courtroom in Fairfax County, Virginia, also witnessed a rare moment when Heard’s attorney Elaine Bredehoft thanked the judge for her work on the case.

Moments later, Depp’s lawyer Ben Chew went to agree with Bredehoft but accidentally slipped up disagreeing.“That is one thing that Miss Bredehoft and we respectfully disag-agree, completely agree!” he said.

Judge Azcarate also joked, “Well good. I’m glad on the last day we finally have an agreement.”

The jury, who received the case Friday afternoon, will return Tuesday. The verdict, on the highly publicized defamation trial, is expected to be announced this week.

Katie Price attracts the anger of her fans

Katie Price

Katie Price, a former glamour model, has come under fire from fans for allegedly ‘photoshopping’ a photo of her son Harvey on his 20th birthday.

Harvey turned 20 on Friday, despite being born with septo-optic dysplasia, Prader-Willi syndrome, autism, and a cognitive handicap (May 27).

Katie shared a nice photo of the young man on Instagram, commenting it, “My adorable kid still can’t believe he’s 20.”

Harvey could be seen standing outside as his mother photographed the occasion.

Although many of model’s fans sent birthday wishes and prayers for Harvey on his big day, some slammed the star for supposedly “editing” the photo, with one reacted: “Editing your own son? Wow.”

Someone then asked: “How has he been edited?”

To which the original commenter replied: “His whole face has been edited and completely airbrushed. This looks nothing like Harvey.”

After more comments, the original commenter hit back: “I would never photoshop my child’s face to make him look totally different. Only filters to adjust the colours of the photo. Don’t be so ridiculous.

“Katie has clearly photoshopped Harvey, it looks nothing like him. She should be ashamed.”

Another then echoed: “HARV doesn’t need no filter he’s GORGEOUS HARV.” While another  said: “Blimey she’s even heavily filtering his pics now. Why can’t people show their natural looks on line. Such a sad world.”

Other fans of Katie were supportive of the celebratory birthday post and gushed over the “handsome” boy, with one penned: “He’s soooo handsome, happy birthday harvey.” Another went on: “Happy 20th birthday Harvey. Have a fantastic day. Handsome lad and beautiful inside and out.”

“The most beautiful guy inside and out! Xx,” said a third.

While an excited fan of Katie Price came in the model’s support and wrote: “@katieprice you have done an amazing job bringing him up I don’t think many people truly understand how hard it is raising a child with autism especially on your own.”
