According to state-run media in North Korea, leader Kim Jong Un and other high officials assessed the pandemic situation as “better”; and discussed altering containment measures on Sunday.
According to the Korean Central News Agency, between Friday and Saturday evening, North Korea reported more than 89,500 new “fever cases” and 106,390 recoveries across the country (KCNA). According to KCNA, the overall number of cases in North Korea since late April had reached 3,448,880, with more than 3,262,700 having recovered and at least 186,110 seeking medical treatment.
