Pied Piper, a horse Queen Elizabeth sold for £225,000 last year, came close to winning one of Aintree Racecourse’s most renowned jump events.
After being deemed to have interfered with another horse named Knight Salute, the horse was demoted to second place.
The horses, according to reports, crossed the line together.
In response to Pied Piper’s performance, a top journalist exposed the animal’s cost and stated, “I wonder if Her Majesty regrets selling him now?”
