According to Hello magazine, Prince George and Charlotte were allowed to attend the ceremony due to the Easter school holidays, and their presence sparked significant discussion among royal admirers.

After the ceremony, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge turned to Instagram to share many family photos from the event, and naturally, people chimed in with their thoughts in the comments section.

One devotee likened Charlotte to the queen Queen Elizabeth, writing: “Charlotte is so pretty. Looks so much like her great grandmother.”

Another wrote: “George and Charlotte were a real credit today! Impeccably behaved!”

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the Queen Mother’s death; the matriarch died at the age of 101 at her Windsor home, The Royal Lodge. She was the widow of King George VI and the mother of the present reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.

She was born Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon. Her condition deteriorated as a result of a nasty cough and a chest infection, and she died in her sleep.

The Queen was said to have been quite close to her mother, especially after King George died.
