Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawaz has said that the Opposition is adamant on its stance despite the incumbent government “begging” for cooperation.

Maryam Nawaz, while commenting to media officials after a joint meeting of the party’s parliamentary groups at the August House on Monday said, “They will not be given an NRO.”

“You will be shocked to know the details of the talks between the Opposition and PTI government,” she emphasised.

Earlier today, Maryam had chaired the parliamentary groups meeting in the absence of Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif and parliamentary groups leader Khawaja Asif – both are currently in prison over a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation.

The meeting was attended by top PML-N leaders including former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal, and Raja Zafar ul Haq. To show solidarity with Shahbaz Sharif and Khawaja Asif, their pictures were been placed on chairs.

Maryam then criticized the PTI government for its performance, stressing that the Opposition did not have to inform people of the government’s failures as they were there for everyone to see. “Every day the masses are hit with an inflation storm.”

She added that the country had not witnessed as many failures in the 73 years since it came into existence as it did in the last two and a half years of the Imran Khan-led government.

Mohtarma Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was the first female Prime Minister of Pakistan from 1988 to 1990 and again from 1993 to 1996.

Benazir Bhutto – Early Life

She was born on June 21, 1953, in Karachi, Pakistan, the eldest child of former premier Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

She went on to found the Pakistan People’s Party and serve as the nation’s prime minister (from 1971 to 1977).

Bhutto attended Radcliffe College from 1969 to 1973 and then enrolled at Harvard University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in comparative government.

It was then onto the United Kingdom, where she studied at Oxford University from 1973 to 1977, completing a course in international law and diplomacy.

Leader Of The PPP

Bhutto returned to Pakistan in 1977 and was placed under house arrest after the military coup led by General Mohammad Zia ul-Haq overthrew her father’s government.

One year after Zia ul-Haq became president in 1978, the elder Bhutto was hanged after his conviction on charges of authorizing the murder of an opponent.

Benazir Bhutto had also served as Prime Minister of Pakistan from 1988 to 1990 and again from 1993 to 1996. She had become the first woman to head a democratic government in a Muslim majority nation.

Her struggles for democracy are already a part of our history and a source of inspiration for the party workers.

Benazir Bhutto Assassination

Bhutto was killed when an assassin fired shots and then blew himself up after an election campaign rally in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007.

The attack also killed 28 others and wounded at least another 100.

She had died after hitting her head on part of her vehicle’s sunroof.

He virtually addressed the 4th Session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Financing for Development.

Imran Khan stressed on the world community to take measures for the return of stolen assets held by corrupt politicians and criminals.

He said the developed countries should meet the agreed target of mobilizing 100 billion dollars annually for climate action in developing countries.

Imran Khan said coverage of the COVAX facility must be expanded enabling the developing countries to spend their precious resources on socio-economic development needs.

Larry King’s death was announced on his Twitter handle by his company. He passed away this morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles.

However, the host’s sons came forth breaking their silence on the death of their father. His three sons recently spoke on the death of their ‘amazing father’ and said that they are heartbroken.

In a joint statement, Larry King Jr., Chance King, and Cannon King wrote, “We are heartbroken over our father’s death, and together with our extended family mourn his passing.

“The world knew Larry King as a great broadcaster and interviewer, but to us, he was ‘dad,’” said the sons.

“He was the man who lovingly obsessed over our daily schedules and our well-being, and who took such immense pride in our accomplishments — large, small, or imagined,” they wrote.

“And, through it all, we knew without a doubt in the world that he loved us more than life itself.

“He was an amazing father, and he was fiercely loyal to those lucky enough to call him a friend. We will miss him every single day of our lives,” added his three sons.
