The ruling Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Senator Faisal Javed Khan has said that sex offender and Paedophiles should face chemical castration in prisons.

Taking to his official twitter handle on Friday,  Senator Faisal Javed Khan while expressing anger and discontentment; wrote:

Human Rights are for Humans only.

“What About the dignity of a child, a woman?

What does a child & a woman go through? Isn’t that brutal? Isn’t that barbarism?

Rapists, Child abusers are not humans. These animals commit extreme cruelty & brutality hence they deserve extreme punishment.”

The Senator Faisal Javed Khan went on to say that

“Paedophiles should face coercive chemical castration in prisons.”

“We must all get united and build consensus to pass a law to castrate paedophiles & rapists.”

“Also the implementation is very critical. ZainabAlertBill should also be implemented on ASAP basis.”

These tweets come after the incident of motorway gang rape reported in Punjab where a mother was brutally raped in front of her children.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Accountability Shehzad Akbar termed the incident as unfortunate and said that such incidents cannot be tolerated.

He said that CCPO Lahore has been directed to monitor the case and all the necessary steps have been taken in the investigation.

Shehzad Akbar said that a controversy has been raised over his statement and it is the responsibility of the government to provide security to the people and make highways and areas safe.

Information Minister Punjab Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan said the Punjab Chief Minister is keeping a close watch on the Lahore Motorway abuse case.

A high-level committee headed by Law Minister Raja Basharat is investigating the case. All the institutions including Additional Chief Secretary Home, Additional IG Special Branch, Forensic Department, CIA are cooperating to solve the case.

The committee has been tasked to complete the investigation within three days and submit the recommendations to Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
