82 year old lost women found alive after 30 years in Puerto Rico, US

A woman from the United States who was reported missing more than 30 years ago and ultimately pronounced dead has been found alive in a nursing home in Puerto Rico, according to the Guardian. Patricia Kopta, now 82 years old, was last observed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1992. Authorities were unable to find her, therefore they later proclaimed her dead.

It turned out that she had been discovered in 1999, lost in the streets of northern Puerto Rico. She was identified by a social worker and is currently residing in a nursing facility on a Caribbean island after being diagnosed with dementia.

Mrs. Kopta, who was formerly well-known in her hometown as a street preacher, first kept her background a secret while living in Puerto Rico. Yet as her dementia got worse, she started talking more and more about her past. Authorities in Pennsylvania were contacted by nursing home workers who were successful in making a connection. Her identification could be verified using Genetic tests, according to Ross Township police.

She was exhibiting some symptoms of schizophrenia, according to doctors, before she left Pennsylvania. She was also briefly institutionalised after being given the “delusions of grandeur” diagnosis by medical professionals.

Ukraine president Volodomyr Zelensky paid tribute to soldiers

After the general staff of Ukraine announced that its forces had repelled “more than 130 enemy attacks” the day before, notably in Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, and Avdiivka, he made his remarks.

The eastern city that Moscow has been trying to take over for months was described as “the enemy’s attempts to encircle the town of Bakhmut” early on Sunday.

The “fortress Bakhmut,” which Russian forces appear determined to seize, will be defended by Ukraine. The city, which has been almost completely destroyed in the conflict, has little actual strategic value, according to analysts.

But, as the conflict’s longest and bloodiest combat drags on, its outcome has come to have greater symbolic value than military importance.

In his daily address, Zelensky said, “I would want to pay special homage to the bravery, fortitude, and resilience of the soldiers fighting in the Donbas.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak issued a warning to illegal immigrants on Sunday (local time) that the country will start deporting anyone who crossed its borders without authorization and would not be granted refuge.

In a Sunday interview, Sunak made the promise as the UK deals with a constant stream of migrants entering the country from Europe.

Later this week, Sunak’s government is anticipated to introduce legislation aimed at reducing illegal immigration, with a focus on those who enter the country over the English Channel by boat.

According to the new legislation, the home secretary would be required to permanently bartend anyone entering on a small boat from returning to Rwanda or another “safe” third nation.

Make no mistake, if you enter this country illegally, you will not be permitted to stay, warned Sunak, who has made “stopping the boats” one of his major goals.

“Illegal immigration is unfair to British taxpayers, individuals who enter the country legally, and it is unfair to allow criminal gangs to go on their immoral business. I’m adamant about keeping my word and stopping the vessels,” he said.

Arina Yatsiuk disappears after Russian force killed her parents

Kyiv: The family of 15-year-old Arina Yatsiuk made the decision to leave their house close to the Ukrainian capital by car one week after Russia invaded. They came across a squad of Russian soldiers less than 10 kilometres down the road.

Arina and her 9-year-old sister Valeria were removed from the rear seat by the soldiers after they began shooting. Arina was taken to one automobile after being hurt, and Valeria was taken to another.
Valeria was brought to a neighbouring community, where residents discovered her along the highway. The parents of the girls, Denys and Anna, were found shot to death in their automobile.

Yet the last time anyone saw Arina was on March 3, 2022. According to official Ukrainian data, she is one of the 345 Ukrainian children who have vanished since Russia declared a full-scale war on Ukraine in February of last year.

Several of the missing children, according to the Ukrainian government, were transported against their will to Russia. Although claiming to be “rescuing” the Ukrainian children it has abducted, the Russian government does not deny doing so.

The shooting, according to the police, was the result of a “confrontation,” and they have asked any potential witnesses to describe it and identify the shooter.

15-year-old responsible for five fatal mass shootings in North Carolina, US
