Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned an important meeting of party leadership on Thursday (today) after the major Senate upset on Wednesday.

The meeting of PTI party leaders will discuss the Opposition’s negative tactics in backing Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh and let PPP’s Yousaf Raza Gilani secure victory in the Senate Elections.

The meeting will take place tomorrow at Prime Minister’s (PM) House. It will discuss matters pertaining to post Senate election 2021 and the overall political situation.

Furthermore, in a major development, Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to take vote of confidence from the National Assembly (NA).

The Foreign Minister said that this decision came into consideration after a proper settlement with the party members.

PPP’s Yousaf Raza Gilani’s victory in Senate election clearly shows that they used all negative tactics to win the seat, he added.

FM Qureshi further added, “The nation will now know as to who is standing on which side.”

The PTI will continue its struggle for the transparency of election process in the country, added the minister.
