United Kingdom (UK) Prime Minister Boris Johnson has got the first AstraZeneca vaccine shot against the deadly COVID-19. “I literally did not feel a thing. It was very good, very quick,” he said.

Boris Johnson, 56, after receiving the vaccine jab has urged the people to also get one as soon as possible in order to curb the spread of the virus.

He gets the first dose of vaccine at London’s St Thomas’ hospital, where he was tackled in intensive care after the COVID-19 diagnosis.

Taking to Twitter, the premier informed about the vaccine jab and wrote, “I cannot recommend it too highly, everybody when you do get your notification to go for a jab, please go and get it, it is the best thing for you, best thing for your family and for everyone else.”

The UK has given the most vaccine shots in one day and almost half of all adults have received one dose.

The country aims to be among the fastest countries in the world to launch a vaccine programme.
