PTI demands two separate commissions to probe May 9, Nov 26 events

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has presented charter of  demands to Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in written, seeking constitution of two separte commissions to investigate May 9 and November 26, 2024 violent events.

The PTI will also warn to end negotiations if government fails to constitute separate commissions on the events.

The third round of negotiations between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s negotiating committees has begun.

The third round of negotiations between the government and PTI’s negotiation committees is ongoing in Parliament House under the supervision of Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, PM’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Naveed Qamar and Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar are representing the government.

NA Opposition Leader Omar Ayub, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, former NA speaker Asad Qaiser, party’s Secretary-General Salman Akram Raja, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Chairman Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, and Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) chief Sahibzada Hamid Raza are representing the PTI.
