Actor Sonu Sood has officially addressed the non-bailable warrant issued against him in connection with a fraud case in Ludhiana.

The warrant, issued by Ludhiana judicial magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur, sparked significant media attention. On Friday morning, Sonu took to his X account to clarify his position, stating that he was summoned as a ‘witness’ in the case and has no involvement in the matter.

He wrote: “We need to clarify that the news circulating on social media platforms is highly sensationalized. To put matters straight, we were summoned as a witness by the Honourable Court in a matter pertaining to a third party to which we have no association or affiliation.”

Sonu further emphasized that they will provide a statement on February 10, 2025, to clear any misunderstandings, adding: “Our lawyers have responded and on 10th February 2025 we will give a statement that clarifies our non-involvement in the matter.”

Sonu strongly condemned the media’s portrayal, concluding: “We are neither brand ambassadors nor are we associated in any way. This is just for unnecessary media attention to grab eyeballs. It is sad that celebs become soft targets. We will take strict action in this matter.”

The court order directed the Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai to arrest Sonu for failing to attend court. The next hearing is scheduled for February 10. Sonu’s latest project was the action thriller Fateh, where he also made his directorial debut.

A distressing video of two women from Manipur being subjected to heinous acts, including stripping, parading naked, and assault, has sent shockwaves across the nation. The incident is a result of ongoing communal clashes between the Meitei community in the Imphal Valley and the Kuki tribe from the hills since May.

Several Bollywood celebrities, including Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, Renuka Shahane, Richa Chadha, and Sonu Sood, among others, have expressed their outrage and demanded justice for the victims.

Superstar Akshay Kumar was among the first to react, taking to Twitter on July 20th, expressing his disgust and urging for severe punishment for the culprits. Kiara Advani, too, voiced her horror and called for swift justice for the women involved.

In a significant development related to the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) recently informed the Supreme Court that it will not challenge the bail granted to Rhea Chakraborty. As a quick recap, Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakraborty were romantically involved and lived together. Tragically, on June 14, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput passed away by suicide, shortly after Rhea had moved out. Following his untimely demise, Rhea faced a barrage of allegations and hate.

The NCB had charged Rhea under the stringent Section 27-A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, which pertains to “financing and harboring illegal drug trafficking.” However, she was later granted bail. On Tuesday, the NCB informed the Supreme Court that it will not challenge Rhea Chakraborty’s bail in connection with the drugs case linked to the late actor’s death. The Additional Solicitor General S V Raju emphasized that while the bail is not being challenged, the question of law concerning Section 27-A of the NDPS Act should remain open.

Responding to this development, Rhea took to social media and posted a brief clip of herself glowing radiantly, captioned with the word “Gratitude” and a folded hand emoji. The post quickly went viral, with netizens interpreting it as an expression of her appreciation for the NCB’s recent decision.

On the professional front, Rhea Chakraborty made a comeback to television as a gang leader on Roadies 19: Karm Ya Kaand. Currently, she is actively involved in the show alongside co-gang leaders Gautam Gulati and Prince Narula, while the popular Bollywood actor Sonu Sood hosts the show.

Sonu Sood’s hilarious video with Khaby Lame goes viral

Actor Sonu Sood from Bollywood recently appeared alongside social media star Khaby Lame in a humorous project.

In an Instagram video that the Senegalese-Italian comedian had posted with the description, “When Sonu’s straw steals the spotlight #learnfromkhaby #learnwithinstagram #india @sonu sood,” the actor from “Happy New Year” was seated next to him.

A glass and a jug of juice were placed in front of each of the two people. While looking at a phone, Sonu is observed putting the majority of the juice into Khaby’s glass. Sonu has just a few drops of juice remaining, which he silently adds to his glass along with a sipping straw.

Sonu observes and politely declines Khaby’s apparent offer to pass his glass of juice to him. The twist in the video occurs when Khaby’s hands quickly take the straw in Sonu’s juice glass and place it in his own. He then does his trademark gesture of pointing to it with both hands, as if to explain the obvious.

Sonu’s signs of frustration are seen towards the end of the video when he drinks the last of his own juice.

Their entertaining video left fans in a frenzy. They used laughing emojis in the comment area to express their reactions.
