LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) Senator Azam Swati challenged Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif to arrest Imran Khan if he can.

PTI leader Azam Swati, while talking to the media in Lahore, said that the economy has destroyed in the country, morality has ended, but the people of Pakistan have woken up.

He said that “I went through such hardships, but they do not have moral courage, the fascist government will be separated from the government so humiliatingly.”

The PTI leader said that he condemns the arrest of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry, the way he was arrested, is a matter of shame for the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Senator Azam Swati further said that the Election Commission made a nonsense case, and the respect of adults has also disappeared in this government.

A few days ago, Senator Azam Swati while talking to the media in Lahore said that the only solution for the country at this time is the election, all the institutions of the country are ending, and he ask the judiciary institutions to resign.

He said that there was a murderous attack on the former prime minister of the country, Arshad Sharif was martyred, and there was no justice. He said Azam Swati is not afraid of death, there is no justice in your courts.

Azam Swati said that the house of parliament has also been damaged, and Mohsin Naqvi is being made caretaker chief minister.

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) suspended the Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) notice to seal Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Azam Swati’s farmhouse.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of Islamabad High Court heard the petition filed by Senator Azam Swati’s wife.
The court issued notices to all the parties and stopped them from taking any further measures.

CDA didn’t issue any notice before sealing the farmhouse, the petitioner’s counsel told the court and requested the court to stop CDA from taking any further measures.

The court adjourned the hearing for an indefinite time.

Earlier, CDA sealed farmhouses owned by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Senator Azam Swati, after ‘non-compliance’ with the notice issued to his wife.

The notice stated that two basements, a ground floor, and guard rooms were illegally constructed in the farmhouses.
The CDA asked Azam Swati to demolish the illegal constructions, otherwise, the farmhouses will be vacated for not complying with the orders.

It further stated that the CDA will demolish the illegal constructions and a fine may be imposed.

ISLAMABAD: An Islamabad court rejected the bail plea of Senator Azam Swati’s in the controversial tweets case against him and remarked same offence has been committed twice.

The verdict was issued by Islamabad Special Judge Central Azam Khan. He had reserved the judgement earlier today.

During the hearing, prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi explained the court the process of verifying a Twitter account. He added that Swati has a “blue tick” on his Twitter account and is followed by famous personalities.

“Famous journalists and political personalities follow Azam Swati,” said the lawyer. He added that the senator has never distanced himself from the account.

“There is no question that the Twitter account is not of Azam Swati,” said Abbasi.

While concluding his arguments the prosecutor and government lawyer urged the court not to grant bail to the senator in the case.

On the other hand, the PTI senator’s lawyer, Sohail Khan, contended that a cybercrime case cannot be registered over screenshots.

 

The judge after hearing the arguments reserved the verdict.

  • The cases filed against Azam Swati in Larkana, Qamber, Shikarpur, and Kashmore have been closed.

LARKANA: The Sindh police quashed all cases registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Azam Swati in the Larkana division.

Azam Swati’s son Usman Swati reached the High Court Sukkur bench where he filed a petition against the arrest of his father and quash the cases.

Senator Azam Swati was produced in the court of Magistrate and Civil Judge Naseerabad today after a three-day remand.

The cancellation class report of the cases filed in Qamber Shahdadkot, Larkana, and District Kashmore Kandhkot by the Larkana Police was submitted in the court of Judicial Magistrate and Civil Judge Naseerabad.

According to the report, the cases filed against Azam Swati in Larkana, Qamber Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, and Kashmore have been closed.

During today’s proceedings, Abdul Rauf Korai, counsel for Swati, presented a report before Qambar judicial magistrate and civil judge Ali Bakhsh Mashori.

He informed the local court that police have withdrawn cases registered against his client in three districts of the Larkana division.

The lawyer said that Swati’s three-day physical remand has also expired but his client is still under the custody of Qambar police.
