Bilawal Bhutto Lambastes At Incumbent Government For Pushing Pakistan Into Debt

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that questioned Prime Minister Imran Khan to explain to the people that what it was going to cost the nation for taking a commercial loan from China to clear the Saudi soft loan.

In his recent remarks, lambasting at the incumbent government, Bilawal said, “Imran Khan had promised to break Pakistan free from the debt trap, but since coming to power he has buried Pakistan under massive loans, taking the begging bowl everywhere he goes.”

He further added, “Every person in Pakistan is paying a terrible price for the tsunami of Imran Khan’s transformation,” he added. “The life of the common man in Pakistan had become unbearable due to the poor economic policies of the Imran Khan regime.”

“With the per capita debt now at Rs175,000, every Pakistani is paying the price for Imran’s Khans incompetence,” the PPP leader said.

Bilawal went on to add that “the common people would continue to suffer unprecedented inflation, poverty and unemployment if the federal government pushed Pakistan further into debt and compounded it with corruption and mismanagement.”

“The hesitation of the Chinese government in releasing the committed USD 6 billion funds for the ML-1 railway track is in fact an expression of distrust in the PTI regime,” he said.

The PPP Chairman further added that the Chinese companies investing in Pakistan had also notified their government of their distrust in the PTI government.

Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq had a telepho0nic conversation in which they had discussed the political situation.

Qaiser Sharif said that Bilawal Bhutto had requested Siraj-ul-Haq to co-operate in the election of Chairman Senate which will be decided after consultation with party leaders.

He further said that former chairman Senate Raza Rabbani has also contacted Siraj-ul-Haq and requested a vote.

Jamaat-e-Islami spokesman said that Deputy Chairman Senate candidate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri also called on Siraj-ul-Haq and requested support.

The future of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the fake government depends on its performance, said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Sunday.

While addressing the youth convention in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said that PM Imran has to answer for his party’s incompetency, not the PDM.

The PDM will not allow the incumbent PTI government to leave so easily, added the Vice President.

She further said, “[Nawaz Sharif] was removed in 2017 on false allegations.”

“Even today, when they have to strike against Nawaz Sharif, they have to arrest his brother and summon his daughter before NAB in a political case,” Maryam added.

The PML-N vice president added, “When the government tired of all other allegations” NAB has accused her of “speaking against institutions.”

PDM is united enough to tackle the government and will surely demand a proper response from them, added Maryam Nawaz.

Furthermore, She said NAB is mistaken if it believes it will scare her. “I lived in a death cell by myself,” added the leader.

“I am not like Imran Khan with an armed police guard standing outside for a getaway by climbing over the wall,” Maryam said.

Earlier in the day, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman called on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz and Opposition Leader of Punjab Hamza Shehbaz in Jati Umrah on here Sunday (today).

The leaders discussed the future strategy about long march and resignations from a parliament.

It is important to mention that PDM had postponed the long march after former President Asif Ali Zardari refused to resign from the assemblies.

Asif Zardari had earlier asked the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif to return to Pakistan for the conclusive political battle.

“Mass resignations will only strengthen the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.”

“If Nawaz Sharif is serious in his battle for democracy, then he should fly back to the country,” added Zardari.

Maryam Nawa had replied that just like you are on the video link, Nawaz Sharif is also on the video link.

She expressed concern that Nawaz Sharif’s life is in danger in the custody of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

“My father has had two heart attacks in jail,” Maryam said.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari has extended an apology to Maryam Nawaz after his remarks about Nawaz Sharif during the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) meeting in Lahore.

According to sources, Zardari said, “I never wished to hurt you or your family through my remarks.”

To which the PML-N leader responded saying: “It was never my intent to have you apologize. I merely counted myself a daughter to you and complained as Bakhtawar or Aseefa would.”

He had asked Mian Nawaz Sharif to fly back to Pakistan and then the PPP party lawmakers would submit their resignations to him.

The former President also reminded, “Mass resignations will only strengthen the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.”

“If Nawaz Sharif is serious in his battle for democracy, then he should fly back to the country,” added Zardari.

“Everyone will have to face the hardships in this battle if we are in for a decisive battle (for democracy),” he added more.

He went on to add, “PDM long march can only be a successful show if Nawaz Sharif returns to the country.”

She expressed concern that Nawaz Sharif’s life is in danger in the custody of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Maryam Nawaz said that despite being the largest party, the PML-N supported the PDM, followed the decisions of the PDM PML-N members, voted for Yousuf Raza Gilani.

She further  asked: “Does Zardari sahab guarantee that my father’s life will not be in danger in Pakistan?”

“My father left my mother on her death bed and came back to Pakistan,” she added more.
