Harry and Meghan’s mutual addiction is revealed in the book

On the surface, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May 2018 was the stuff of fairytales.

It was apparently a tsunami of temper tantrums, shouting matches, and even a squabble over a tiara behind the scenes.

“Palace sources report that the preparation for the Sussex union was all drama, all the time,”

Brown, “The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor — The Truth and the Turmoil” (Crown), out Tuesday. “Meghan’s MO was seen as revving up Harry when she sensed any obstruction.”

“Palace source was a lot of rage. In-person shouting in front of other members of staff, basically in front of too many people, which is why it all started to come out. “

“The Firm” includes Charles, Diana, Camilla, William, and Kate Middleton — whom Brown believes would never have married the heir to the throne if it wasn’t for her socially savvy mother. Prince Andrew and his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein are also examined, with Brown dismissing the disgraced Duke of York “a coroneted sleaze machine.”

“They got used to people they loved suddenly disappearing or falling out of favor,”

Brown writes, “regularly got into fights that turned physical, ending up on crutches after kicking in a window during a dispute with another student over a girl.”

Brown writes. “A beauty but not a preening one, with a burgeoning career as an actress on stage and TV after leaving the University of Leeds.”

Brown says of the prince, “Without his army mates to cut him down to size, his sense of entitlement was out of control. His outbursts were ever more frequent and childlike,”

Harry later claimed that he began boxing during this time because he was constantly “on the verge of striking someone.”

According to Brown, Harry’s “habitual attitude” became “increasingly truculent” as he continuously complained against his brother William and father Charles. “The influence exercised by his stepmother, Camilla, who made him feel like a visitor at Highgrove” irritated him “perennially.”

Things were tense to begin with. Private secretaries were Harry’s primary means of communication with his father.

When the future king sent a message through his office, inquiring what his son wanted for his 30th birthday — perhaps another dinner jacket? — he was very furious.

Harry’s measurements were taken by a tailor, “and when it arrived, one arm was shorter than the other…

As a result, it was picked up and returned in a box, which seemed to be a metaphor for their entire relationship. That is, there was no communication, and when there was, it went horribly wrong.

Brown explains how Bonas eventually persuaded Harry to seek assistance.

The author writes, “Cressida began to have severe concerns about his mental health.” “She was the one who got Harry to attend a therapist in the first place.”

Brown adds, “Ultimately, Cressida’s strong emphasis on Harry’s difficulties to the expense of her own was too much for her.”

According to the book, when they split up in 2014, Harry wrote his ex a “beautiful letter saying I admire you, I wish you well, and most importantly, thank you for helping me address my issues and seek therapy.”

Until he met Meghan Markle in July 2016, the 31-year-old prince was “convinced he was going to be alone for the rest of his life.”

Harry was lonely and wanted to create a family when they met at London’s Soho Club that summer, despite the fact that he had been caught weeks earlier “dirty dancing with a pair of brunettes and downing shots at Jak’s Ba.

Markle, too, felt lost. Her show “Suits” was coming to an end, she was approaching 35 years old, and her boyfriend, Canadian chef Cory Vitiello, had “decided he wasn’t ready for marriage, even if she was.”

So it’s no wonder that things moved quickly. The starlet was whisked away to Botswana by the prince after two dates, where she stayed in a $2,000 VIP tent at a Kwena safari camp.

Harry was overjoyed when he returned. William, on the other hand, was sceptical.

Brown writes, “Every time his brother fell in love, it was an eruption of Vesuvius.” “‘You do realise this is the fourth female you’ve taken to Botswana,’ he couldn’t help but remark after Harry’s starry-eyed account of the trip,” he couldn’t help but remark after Harry’s starry-eyed account of the trip.

Markle’s older brother was concerned that she would be leaving everything she knew in the United States and moving to a place where she would have “no comprehension of British culture.” “Harry’s mental fragility was such that he wouldn’t be strong enough to handle all of that on her behalf, let alone his own issue,” there was anxiety.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles was “charmed” by Meghan during their first meeting, a lunch at his Highgrove estate where the two foodies bonded over his “homegrown Charlotte potatoes and Hapil strawberries… It wasn’t difficult for Charles to be enthralled by a lovely woman who seemed really interested in what he had to say.”
