ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party leader Senator Raza Rabbani has said that a Senate session should be called immediately on the situation in Gaza.
Raza Rabbani has said in one of his statements that more than 1000 buildings were destroyed in Gaza while water, food and electricity supply of 2.3 million people in Gaza is cut off.
He said that the caretaker government is afraid that if the Senate meets, its actions in violation of Section 230 of the Election Act will be exposed.
Senator Raza Rabbani further said that the caretaker government cannot recruit in National Accountability Bureau(NAB) because these are fixed-term appointments, which the elected government cannot terminate.
He said that the caretaker government cannot privatize as privatization of government institutions has long-term effects. He said Pakistan International Airlines privatization cannot be decided by the caretaker cabinet and it can be seen by the Council of Common Interests(CCI).
