India is facing isolation on International forums says FM

Shah Mahmood Qureshi

Pakistan Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that India is facing isolation due to its behaviour at the international forums.

According to the details, in his recent statement, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said India is facing defeat at international forums due to its aggressive behaviour.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi reacted over the Indian objection raised over a political map of Pakistan at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO)and that the Modi Administration’s objection was rejected at the SCO and added that even Russia as hosts of the summit did not second Indian objection.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Kashmir is a bilateral issue between Pakistan and India and such issues cannot be raised at the SCO.

“Such issues are raised at the sideline meetings,” he added.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Indian occupied Kashmir is a disputed territory and United Nations (UN) resolutions are also there for its solution.

Qureshi further added that Beijing repeatedly urged for talks for the solution of the Ladakh issue, but India took aggressive position and faced defeat.

Pakistan rejects unwarranted references

On September 15, Pakistan strongly rejected the unwarranted references to Pakistan in the Joint Statement of U.S-India Counter-Terrorism Joint Working Group and Designations Dialogue.

Pakistan urged the US to refrain from endorsing positions that are “one-sided” and “divorced from ground realities” in South Asia.

In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said our serious concerns and rejection of the unacceptable reference to Pakistan in the afore-mentioned Joint Statement have been conveyed to the U.S. side.

He said it is important that partner countries take an objective view of the issues of peace and security in South Asia and refrain from endorsing positions that are one-sided and divorced from ground realities.

The Spokesperson said the international community is well aware that Pakistan is a country most affected by cross-border terrorism, sponsored and supported by India.
