ECP

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) reserved its decision on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz(PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s request for re-election in NA-15 Mansehra.

In the ECP, a hearing was held on the request of  PML-N  leader Nawaz Sharif regarding National Assembly Constituency NA-15 Mansehra, in which former prime minister’s lawyer Jahangir Jadoon gave arguments in the commission while Captain(Retd) Safdar was also present on the occasion.

During the hearing, Jahangir Jadoon told the commission that PML-N had requested the RO report on February 15 and we were presented with the RO report of 650 pages and the case will now be on the record of the RO report.

Jahangir Jadoon said that according to the report of the RO, petitioner Nawaz Sharif got more than 82,000 votes and the opposing candidate got more than 105,000 votes while the rejected votes were 9082. There were a total of 550 polling stations. The results of 123 polling stations were not received, and Form 45 was not given to us by the presiding officer.

During the hearing, Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer Jahangir Jadoon requested re-election in NA-15 Mansehra

The lawyer pleaded that the result has been affected due to record tampering on NA-15, so the election of NA-15 should be declared null and void.
