ATC extends physical remand of Armaghan for five days

KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) extended the physical remand of prime accused Armaghan Qureshi and co-accused Shiraz Bukhari in the Mustafa Aamir murder case for five days.

The case related to the abduction and murder of Mustafa Aamir was heard in the ATC Karachi. During which the investigating officer of the case requested a 14 -day physical remand of the accused.

The investigating officer took a stand in the court that two Armaghan employees have to record the statement of 164. The suspect is also to forensic weapons and laptops found in Armaghan’s house.

During the hearing, the accused fell into the courtroom, on which the prosecutor general said that the accused had fallen similarly in the High Court and ATC Court. However, accused medical  was perfectly fit.

The accused, Armaghan, alleged in court that he was not being allowed to eat.

Tahir Rehman Tanoli submitted documents on behalf of the accused Armaghan’s mother, the court asked Armaghan whether he is your lawyer.

Shiraz’s lawyer, Khurram Abbas, told the court that Shiraz was not related to the case and added that without a lady police officer’s house, the house of the accused was raided. The Shiraz’s sister’s laptop was also taken with the police.

After hearing the lawyers’ arguments, the court extended the physical remand of the accused Armaghan and Shiraz for five days and directed the medical examination of both accused.

ATC approves four-day remand of accused Armaghan

KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday handed over the prime suspect Armaghan in the Mustafa Aamir to the police on a four -day physical remand.

The Mustafa Aamir murder case was heard in the Karachi Anti -Terrorism Court in which the police presented the accused Armaghan in court number 2, but during the hearing, the accused Armaghan was went unconscious in court.

During the hearing, the court questioned who came from the accused. The lawyer said that the accused had to sign a lawyer’s paper, but Armaghan refused to sign documents.

The court asked the accused what did you say when police arrested you. The accused, Armaghan, said that he was tortured.

The court asked is the body of victim recovered.  The investigating officer said that the body had been found and the exhumation had been ordered.

The investigating officer told the court that the murder weapon should be recovered from the accused.

Later, the court handed over the accused Armaghan to the police on a four -day physical remand for investigation.

Earlier,  Sindh High Court (SHC) directed the police to produce Armughan, ATC No II to secure his remand, following the denial of remand by ATC No I.

Medical Board forms for exhumation of Mustafa Amir

KARACHI: Following the court’s orders, Sindh Health Department formed three-member medical board for the exhumation and post mortem examination Mustafa Aamir to determine the cause of his death.

According to the notification, a three -member medical board has been formed for exhumation of Muhammad Mustafa Aamir. The exhumation of victim’s will be held on February 21 at 9 am.

The notification states that the Police Surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed(Chairperson) is the head of the Medical Board while Additional Police Surgeon Dr  Sirichand(Convener) and MLO Jinnah Postgraduate Officer Centre Karachi Dr Kamran Khan(Member) will also be part of the medical board.

It should be noted that Mustafa Amir’s mother had requested for a grave, a local court had approved the request for the deceased’s grave in the abduction and murder of Mustafa Amir.

The court in its order has said that the secretary should set up a medical board for the grave, completing the grave and the report should be submitted within 7 days.
