The charming exchange brings to mind Mumtaz’s famous orange sari from the 1960s, which set fashion trends after the release of the movie Brahmachari. Aaj Kal Tere Mere Pyar Ke Charche was a chart-topper and is still one of many people’s favourite songs.

This little video highlights the continuing bonds and camaraderie between musicians from India and Pakistan in addition to being entertaining. This touching exchange demonstrates how art can cross divisions and unite people, despite the governmental restrictions that now prevent collaboration between the entertainment sectors of the two nations.

It serves as a lovely reminder of the importance of shared experiences and the capacity of art to evoke warm memories in viewers of all ages by reflecting the universal language of music and dance that cuts across boundaries and countries.

Mumtaz claims she has never had botox but uses fillers when she is “very thin”

Mumtaz
  • Mumtaz is an evergreen beauty icon of Bollywood, admitting to taking fillers and being ‘chirpy’ about it.
  • Mumtaz made her Bollywood debut with the 1958 film Sone Ki Chidiya.
  • She took a break of 13 years and marked her comeback with Aandhiyan.

Mumtaz, a seasoned actor, continues to be the Bollywood industry’s unwavering beauty icon. She recently disclosed her beauty secrets and acknowledged using fillers. She added that she was not well-liked by the “heroines” of her period. She claimed that despite this, she stayed upbeat about it.
At the age of eleven, Mumtaz made her Bollywood debut in the 1958 movie Sone Ki Chidiya. She produced a number of blockbuster movies, many of which featured Rajesh Khanna, who was one of the most well-liked on-screen couples of the 1970s. Later, after a 13-year sabbatical, she made a dramatic comeback with Aandhiyan in 1990 before announcing her retirement from acting.

The 75-year-old performer said that she was treated unfairly by female actors. She told  that she remembered Dev Anand telling her about it and that he advised her to take care of her physique and hair. I should always endeavour to look young, he advised. Age is a bloody number, he muttered to Mumzi. I can still have a boyfriend at 90, he claimed, assuming I look well. He questioned my desire for evidence. Three girls were waiting for him in the other room, and he showed me by opening a door that they were there. However, he was 80 at the time.

“I heed Dev Anand’s counsel. And I heed Akshay Kumar’s recommendation that we avoid eating after 6 o’clock. I sometimes use fillers when I am too thin. However, I would never have botox treatment since, in her words, “Botox feels like someone has inserted seeds into the cheeks on the left side and the right side.”

For the first time ever, Mumtaz was recently spotted in a TV programme. On season 13 of Indian Idol, she made a guest appearance alongside Dharmendra. She continues to be absent from movies though. Mumtaz once responded during a live session to a fan’s question on her comeback to the business, “Bollywood? I have no idea. I’m not sure if I’ll land the kind of part that genuinely speaks to my heart while also being kind and well-liked by others. She said, “First I will have to get my husband’s approval,” as her daughter laughed. He’ll say, “All right, you may do one.” So perhaps I will. In such case, no.

‘Nobody could flirt with Jeetendra because his girlfriend Shobha was too protective,’ says Mumtaz

Mumtaz
  • Mumtaz was often linked to her co-stars.
  • But her relationship with Jeetendra was difficult due to Shobha Kapoor’s possessiveness.
  • Shobha was very possessive about him. She was determined to marry him.

Mumtaz was frequently associated with a number of her co-stars during her active career in the 1960s and 1970s. Shammi Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna, and others were among them. Due to his then-girlfriend and current wife Shobha Kapoor, connecting with Jeetendra was incredibly difficult.
Mumtaz discussed Shobha and how possessive of Jeetendra she would be in a recent interview. The sentence “Jeetendra ke saath tuning hona mushkil tha” (It was difficult to get the tune right with Jeetendra). He couldn’t flirt with anyone. His lover Shobha, who is now Jeetendra’s wife, had a highly jealous attitude towards him. She was set on getting married to him. But once more, as usual, he also thought highly of me. But the heroines didn’t like me. I was still happy, though, she said.

Mumtaz also discussed Rajesh Khanna’s divorce from Anju Mahendroo. “I was shocked. She took such good care of Rajesh Khanna. She genuinely loved him. She even took such exquisite care of his khaana-peena. I used to go see Rajesh Khanna with Mayur, and we would have supper and drinks together. I never ever considered that they might part ways. How is it possible to break up with someone like her in a single day? He had no right to act in that manner. You should call the individual you don’t get along with, have a conversation with them, and let them know, she advised. Later, Rajesh Khanna wed Dimple Kapadia, with whom he had two kids.

A recent episode of Indian Idol included Mumtaz. She performed for the contestants during her appearance on the show as a guest with Dharmendra. In 1974, she wed Mayur Madhvani and gave acting a rest.

Ekta and Tusshar Kapoor are Jeetendra and Shobha’s two children. Lakshya and Ravie have them as grandparents. With Ekta, Shobhaa is renowned for creating some of the most watched daily soap operas on television. On February 10, it was revealed that she and Ekta will be leaving their positions as the leaders of Alt Balaji.
