Sanjay Dutt & Arshad Warsi will appear in a new film together

Sanjay Dutt & Arshad Warsi
  • Sanjay Dutt & Arshad Warsi will be reuniting for a new film.
  • The untitled film is all set to be released in 2023.
  • It has been directed by Sidhaant Sachdev and is produced by Sanjay Dutt.

Sanjay Dutt shared the first image of his forthcoming movie starring Arshad Warsi on Instagram. Sanjay and Arshad, who are renowned for their friendship in movies like Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006) and Munna Bhai MBBS (2003), will reunite for a new movie. Sanjay released the movie’s first image and poster on Thursday. The movie is scheduled for release in 2023. Sanjay Dutt is the producer, and Sidhaant Sachdev is the director.

Announcing the film with a poster, Sanjay Dutt wrote on Instagram, “Our wait has been longer than yours but the wait is finally over, coming together with my brother Arshad Warsi for yet another exciting movie… Can’t wait to show you, stay tuned!” In the poster, both Sanjay and Arshad held their heads as they stood behind bars wearing the uniform of jail inmates.

Arshad portrayed Sarkeshwar “Circuit” Sharma, the sidekick of Sanjay Dutt’s Murliprasad Sharma, popularly known as Munna Bhai, in their popular 2003 movie Munna Bhai MBBS. For playing Circuit, Arshad received the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor. He then played Circuit again in the 2006 movie Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Sanjay and Arshad have collaborated on movies other than the Munna Bhai series, including the 2007 comedy-drama Dhamaal.

Fans shared their excitement about the movie in the comments section of Sanjay Dutt’s post as soon as he revealed it. They showered the Munna Bhai couple with affection and praise. “Munna Bhai (Sanjay Dutt) aur Circuit (Arshad Warsi) ek sath (together again),” was one of the comments. A different supporter wrote, “This duo (tear emoji).” One fan questioned why the two had not announced the release of a new Munna Bhai movie. Why isn’t this a Munna Bhai movie? he said in his note. But one admirer was sure the upcoming movie starring Sanjay and Arshad would be fantastic, saying, “It’s going to be the best movie of all time.”

Arshad Warsi claimed in an interview from the previous year that Sanjay Dutt was the sole reason he agreed to play the Circuit in Munna Bhai MBBS. “I did Munna Bhai because it was Sanju (Sanjay Dutt), else even Raju (filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani) understands that it is it is a dumb character,” Arshad had told Indian Express in March 2022. On paper, it really was nothing. Circuit has received opposition from Makarand Deshpande as well!
