Court approves 3-days physical remand of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad court approved the three-day physical remand of former prime minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas.

In the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad, a hearing was held against the former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Tanveer Ilyas for misusing his passport, in which Federal Investigation Agency(FIA) presented him in the Judicial Magistrate’s Court.

During the hearing, the FIA ​​prosecutor requested the 8-day physical remand of Tanveer Ilyas and said that Tanveer Ilyas used a diplomatic passport after leaving the post of Prime Minister and he visited Saudi Arabia on the same passport. The passport of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas was cancelled but not returned yet.

On this, lawyer said that Sardar Tanveer Ilyas is a former prime minister, he can use a diplomatic passport, he only visited Saudi Arabia on a diplomatic passport and lawyer present his passport in the court.

Later, the court approved the 3-day physical remand of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas.

Earlier, a local court granted bail to Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), who was arrested by Islamabad city police late on Sunday night in connection with a case related to an attack on a company’s office.

Police produced former AJK Prime Minister before Judicial Magistrate Mureed Abbas who filed post-arrest bail through his counsel in a case registered against him at Margalla police station.

PTI founder acquitted in two more vandalism cases

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad court acquitted Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan in two more cases of vandalism during the Long March.

Islamabad Judicial Magistrate Sahib Bilal heard the acquittal pleas of Imran Khan and others in the cases of vandalism during the long march, in which the court said that the founder of PTI and other accused were accused of inciting people during the long march. He remarked, “If the public was instigated by Imran Khan and others, then the prosecution has to prove it in hindsight”.

The court said that no evidence has been submitted in the court against founder PTI and others The record is insufficient to prosecute the case against all the accused.

Later, the court acquitted Imran Khan in two more cases of vandalism during the Long March.

The court also acquitted Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Parvez Khattak, Saifullah Niazi and Amir Mehmood Kiani, Ali Nawaz Awan, Raja Khurram, Faisal Javed, Sheikh Rashid and Shireen Mazari.
