PHC moved to halt PTI’s protest

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) was moved against the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa  Ali Amin Gandapur and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) November 24 protest, seeking to declare it as illegal and unconstitutional.

The petition filed by Jalal ud Din, a businessman, through Advocate Afroz Ahmad in Peshawar High Court (PHC).

The Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur, provincial cabinet, Chief Sectary KP, Secretary Home and Tribal Affairs and Inspector General of Police(IG) KP.

The petitioner stated that the KP governmental was elected to ensure peace, welfare and to make policies for the betterment of the people of KP.

“However, the provincial government has completely neglected its job for which they were elected and only focusing on protest and March towards federal capital Islamabad”.

The petitioner further stated that all government resources are being used like Rescue 1122, fire brigades, local government heavy machinery and officials.

“In previous protest many government officials were arrested. Fire brigades, ambulances and government machinery were confiscated by the local administration of Punjab/Islamabad.

The recently in Karkhano Market, Psc local pamper factory got fire. However due to Insufficient machinery, factory got destroyed.

The petitioner stated that now once again KP government announced protest and march towards Isb on 24 Nov 24.  The government have no right to use public property in protests and CM KP is using public assets, blocking roads and putting people lives to risk.
