Pakistan to dispatch humanitarian aid to Gaza on arrival of winter

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government has decided to send humanitarian aid which will include blankets, medicines and warm clothes to Gaza on the arrival of winter.

A meeting was held on the situation in Gaza under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in which a briefing was given by National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

It was decided in the meeting that the federal government will send humanitarian aid to Gaza on the arrival of winter and it has been decided to immediately send 600 tons of aid to Gaza, which will include blankets, medicines and warm clothes.

More than 12,000 blankets will also be included in the relief supplies sent to Gaza.

The Prime Minister directed NDMA to send the best things and said that we are with the innocent people of Palestine, the international community should help the poor people of Gaza while the international community should play a role in the ceasefire.

Earlier, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has dispatched the second consignment of humanitarian aid to war-affected regions in Gaza and Lebanon.

The aid shipment, consisting of 100 tons of supplies, was sent from Karachi to Beirut, Lebanon, on Thursday, on the directives of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

This relief effort, conducted in collaboration with Al-Khidmat Foundation, includes essential supplies such as medicines, ready-to-eat meat, tents, tarpaulins, winter clothing, warm bedding, and powdered milk.

The aid was flown from Jinnah International Airport, where a sendoff ceremony was held with representatives from NDMA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Al-Khidmat Foundation, and local officials in attendance.
