CM Gandapur rejects tuition fee increase of Razmak Cadet College

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur while chairing the meeting of Board of Governors of Razmak Cadet College on Tuesday rejected a proposal for increase tuition fee to meet the expenses.

It was decided that the provincial government would bear the financial deficit faced by the college.

The CM mentioned, “In the current economic situation, we cannot impose additional financial burdens on parents,” said a statement issued by the CM Secretariat here.

Senior representatives from the departments of education and finance, along with board members and relevant personnel, attended the meeting.

During the session, a detailed briefing was provided on the college’s performance, curricular and extracurricular activities, administrative and financial affairs, and other issues.

The meeting approved, in principle, the upgradation of the college’s administrative staff, and a committee led by the Finance Advisor was formed to finalize the details of the upgrade.

Additionally, the appointment of three non-official members to the Board of Governors was approved.

The CM announced several initiatives for the college, including the provision of a solar energy system, three coaster buses, and an ambulance.

Furthermore, the construction of a new auditorium and apartments for staff was decided to be included in the next annual development program.

Federal Govt imposes ban on PTM

ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Sunday has imposed a ban the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), citing threats to national peace and security.

According to a notification issued by the Interior Ministry, the PTM is declared “unlawful” under Section 11B of the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997.

The announcement from the Interior Ministry stated that the PTM poses a “significant danger” to public order and safety in the country.

It should be remembered that a few days ago PTM chief Manzoor Pashteen had also met Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

In the meeting with Ali Amin Gandapur, Manzoor Pashteen invited him to attend the Pashtun Qaumi Adalat.

Earlier, a resident of Khyber tribal district moved the Peshawar High Court against the establishment of Pakhtun Qaumi Adalat by the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) in the district.

The petition was filed by a resident of Khyber, Khatirullah, through advocate Daniyal Asad Chamkani.The federal and provincial governments, commissioner Peshawar Division, deputy commissioner, Inspector General of Police, and Manzoor Pashteen, the leader of PTM have been named as respondents in the petition.

The petition read that previously, the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) was imposed in the former tribal areas, but after the 25th Constitutional Amendment, these areas were merged into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Court issues non-bailable arrest warrant for KP CM

ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur in the illegal arms and liquor case.

The District and Sessions Court heard the illegal arms and liquor case against Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

Judicial Magistrate Mubasher Hussain Zaidi heard the case registered at Barakahu police station. Ali Amin Gandapur did not appear in the court despite several court summons.

The court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Ali Amin Gandapur and ordered that Ali Amin Gandapur be arrested and brought before the court on the next hearing.

PHC grants pre-arrest bail to KP CM Gandapur

PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) halted arrest of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur in all the cases registered against him till October 25.

The CM had filed petition in the court through his counsel Alam Khan Advocate expressing a fear of arrest by  Islamabad and Rawalpindi police and requested PHC to grant him pre-arrest bail.

The counsel of the petitioner told the court that there were cases against Ali Amin in Islamabad and Rawalpindi and the petitioner who was a sitting chief minister wanted to appear before the concerned courts but he could possibly be arrested by the police therefore a pre-arrest bail should be granted him to face the cases in the concerned courts.

PHC Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim while accepting the plea of the petitioner granted him pre-arrest bail and prohibited his arrest in any case.

Court maintains non-bailable arrest warrants of KP CM

ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) maintained the non-bailable arrest warrants of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and former Punjab Assembly deputy speaker Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi in a terrorism case registered by the Islamabad Police.

ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra heard the case against the accused. The court maintained the non-bailable arrest warrants of the accused over again skipping the appearance before it.

During the hearing, the lawyer presented the request of former provincial minister Rashid Hafeez seeking exemption from attendance, which was approved by the court.

The case was then adjourned till October 21.

It may be mentioned that the court had already initiated procedure to declare former member of the provincial assembly Umar Tanveer Butt an absconder in the case.
