Pakistan hands over 50 children to Afghan authorities

PESHAWAR: Frontier Corps (FC) authorities have handed over 53 Afghan children who illegally entered Pakistan through the Khyber District.

According to FC sources, 50 Afghan children and girls were detained in Pakistan by cut the  border fencing near the Torkham border crossing.

Sources said that the children have been deported to Afghan authorities on the Torkham border on the request of tribal elders.

According to FC sources, Afghan children smuggled foreign goods through Torkham.

Meanwhile, FC officials have demanded Afghan authorities to stop their children from entering Pakistan by breaking their fence.

Policeman martyred, three terrorists killed in Orakzai

PESHAWAR: A policeman on polio duty martyred while three terrorists were killed in retaliatory firing by the Frontier Corps(FC) in Upper Orakzai area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

SDPO, Upper Orakzai, Muhammad Rahim said the incident took place in Dabori Badan area of Upper Orakzai where terrorists attacked an anti-polio team, and martyred a policeman, Sayyed Hameed.

Another cop, Muzammil sustained bullet injury in the attack. The injured cop was shifted to DHQ Hospital Orakzai by the police.

However, the jawans of Frontier Corps swiftly responded to the attack and eliminated three of the terrorists and arrested another in injured condition.

The large contingents of police and security forces reached the area soon after the incident and started a search operation in the area.

The bodies of the terrorists and injured were also shifted to hospital for identification and further legal action.

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet approved the appointment of Frontier Corps(FC) to maintain law and order and protect the Chinese residents and hydro powerhouses in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

The Federal Cabinet has approved the deployment of Frontier Corps (FC) in Azad Kashmir to ensure foolproof security of Chinese residents and power houses.

Sources say that the federal cabinet approved the appointment of FC on the circulation summary.

The Azad Kashmir government had requested the deployment of FC to assist the police. The FC personnel will be deployed for foolproof security of Neelum–Jhelum Hydropower Plant, Mangla Dam and Gulpur Hydropower Plant.

Three Soldiers Injured In Landmine Blast, Firing Near Afghan border

Four Frontier Corps (FC) personnel embraced martyrdom and six others injured in a terrorist attack from Afghanistan in Manzakai Sector of Zhob District today (Wednesday).

According to the details, the media wing of Pakistan Military, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that the FC troops were moving for the fencing activity in the area when they were ambushed by terrorists from across the border. The FC troops responded promptly.

ISPR added, ‘The injured have been evacuated to CMH Quetta.’

Back in February this year, a Frontier Corps (FC) soldier embraced martyrdom after terrorists attacked a security check post in Balochistan’s Kech district.

“Terrorist fire raid on FC Balochistan Post established for the security of N-85 Highway near Hoshab, District Kech late last night,” the ISPR stated.

During the exchange of fire, Sepoy Asad Mehdi embraced martyrdom.
