FAFEN refutes PTI’s Shoaib Shaheen claim

FAFEN issues report on general elections 2024

ISLAMABAD: Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) Thursday said that the network has never called for the resignation of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) as claimed by a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shoaib Shaheen and as reported by a section of the press.

FAFEN has asked the political leader not to drag independent civil society groups in their politicking and do their homework before making public statements.

FAFEN in fact believes that the existing Election Commission should lead any audit of legally-challenged constituencies using data analytics and forensics. Such an audit must also involve the representatives of political parties and candidates concerned along with independent observers.

On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader Shoaib Shaheen has announced that PTI is ready to open all constituencies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Talking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Shoaib Shaheen said that he met with the founder of PTI, discussed the situation after the election. He alleged that the Election Commission of Pakistan is rigging with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). He announced that PTI will approach apex court with evidence against rigging in elections.
