The NCOC announced to use of face masks mandatory in crowded areas, moreover, Medical centres, hospital staff and patients to follow the strict guidelines released by NCOC.

The NCOC issued guidelines which will remain enforced till April 30.

On other hand, Spokesperson Sindh Health Minister said those people getting tested for covid are the ones who are already with covid symptoms – hence the rate of positivity would be high in that regard.

However due to the fact that most of the population has been successfully vaccinated against covid, there are very few severe cases.

Those who are admitted in the hospital are people who have actively been working around covid patients. The population at large is not as exposed to the virus as healthcare workers.

It is still wise to practice caution and follow SOPs. The general population should wear masks when visiting hospitals or they are in crowded places.

Bundesliga to kick off with limited spectators on Friday

Bundesliga

Good news for the fans of the German football league Bundesliga as they are now allowed back into the stadiums when the new season kicks off.

According to the details, in the first match champions, Bayern Munich will be hosting Schalke on Friday.

However, limited numbers of spectators can enjoy the match that is now allowed this weekend after a six-week test phase was agreed.

Germany’s politicians are allowing each stadium to be at 20 percent capacity for the Bundesliga’s 18 clubs, providing the seven-day rate of infection of the coronavirus is lower or equal to 35 per 100,000 inhabitants in the local region.

That means around 15,000 fans could now watch title holders Bayern Munich start the new season on Friday at home to Schalke 04 at the Allianz Arena, in Munich, Bavaria, Germany with a 70,000 seating capacity for international matches and 75,000 for domestic matches.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Fans must wear face masks and stay 1.5m apart, while alcohol is banned and away supporters are not allowed.

Armin Laschet, state premier for Germany’s football hotbed North-Rhine Westphalia in his statement said “Sports events thrive on fans’ support and atmosphere with an audience – this applies to Bundesliga games as well as to amateur sports,”

There was already a test run in the first round of the German Cup last weekend.

Every club has worked on location-specific hygiene concepts that include prevention measures inside the stadium and on the way to the grounds.
