Britney Spears recently said that she was invited to the Met Gala 2022 event but chose to stay at home.
On Saturday, the 40-year-old Toxic singer shared a confession with her 41.1 million Instagram followers.
Spears captioned a beautiful snapshot of herself cradling her mushy cat, “I was going to go to Met Gala but instead I jumped in the tub with my dog and put pjs on.”
“I despise travelling,” the mother-of-two, who recently disclosed the miscarriage of her first child with Sam Asghari, continued.
The message follows the couple’s devastating loss of their baby earlier this month.
“It is with great regret that we must announce the loss of our miraculous baby early in the pregnancy,” they said in a joint post on social media.
“This is a difficult moment for any parent. “Perhaps we should have waited until we were farther along before announcing,” she reasoned. “However, we were ecstatic to deliver the wonderful news.”
