RAWALPINDI: Boxing Legend Amir Khan and Martial Arts Champion Shahzaib Rind, met Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir here at General Headquarters.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS appreciated both for their phenomenal achievements in the field of sports and expressed full confidence in Pakistan’s youth for their outstanding potential.

Shahzaib Rind, a mixed martial arts fighter from Balochistan, recently won the world’s premier full-contact striking league Karate Combat in the United States. He is also a six-time national champion.

Famed British boxer Amir Khan has recently appealed to fans to pray for her mother as she has to undergo an operation for her pancreatic cancer.

On Instagram, the boxer shared a set snap with her mother with an emotional note which read: “Please do make a special prayer for my mum, Falak khan. She has a big operation tomorrow for her pancreatic cancer. Praying she will come out cancer-free! May God give her strength.”

He also prayed that may she get cancer-free after the operation.

Earlier, Amir Khan’s father had told, “We only found out and we just want everybody to pray for Falak. She is a strong woman, a fighter and with Allah’s guidance she will pull through this.”

His father, Shah further had added, “The family have been very supportive, and the NHS have been amazing in these very difficult times. Amir is currently isolating as he’s just returned from Dubai, but he has been Facetiming his mother every day and giving her all the support, she needs.”

“God willing, she will recover. Falak has got all the family around her, they are constantly on the phone to her and we are giving her all the support she needs. We are with her all the way,” he said more.

Canadian boxer Amir Khan’s wife Faryal Makhdoom says that “my husband does not cheat on me anymore as he is a changed man now”.

Recently, Faryal Makhdoom said that that the couple has been through “hell and back” as she previously accused Amir Khan of cheating her nine times.

“Amir was so famous and so young when I first started dating him and married him, and now it’s like… he’s an old man!”

She added, “It changes with time,” agrees Amir. “When you have three kids, it changes your responsibilities. I’ve had that crazy life before, now I’m a changed man.”

Earlier, Makhdoom had said that she regrets getting married at the early age of 21.

The influencer had reflected on being too young back then and said she would’ve rather enjoyed her youth.

The New Yorker has three kids, Lamaisah aged 6, Alayna aged 2 and Muhammad Zaviyar aged 8 months. She said, “I’m blessed with three and that’s enough”.

Amir Khan, Faryal Makhdoom gift expensive watch to son on 1st birthday

The British-Pakistani boxer Amir Khan and his wife Faryal Makhdoom celebrated the first birthday of their little munchkin Zaviyar at home due to the coronavirus lockdown.

The couple had arranged grand birthday events for their daughters, Alayna and Lamaisah, however, this time they couldn’t do anything extravagant for Zaviyar’s birthday.

Amir and Faryal anyhow arranged a safari-themed birthday party for Zaviyar, so that he can remember it in the future.

The pictures of the birthday celebration are making rounds on social media.

Faryal and Amir had gifted Zaviyar his first expensive watch, which netizens could not digest.

One of the social media users wrote,

“A Rolex for a one year old seems a tad tacky and not needed. Maybe for an 18year old it would make a nice present but then again who wants children obsessed with designer luxury brands.”

Another one asked,

Famed British boxer Amir Khan has recently appealed for prayers for his mother as she has pancreatic cancer.

Amir Khan, 34, announced that his mother has tragically been diagnosed with cancer. He asks his fans to pray for his mother.

He shared the sad news with his fans and followers on Instagram alongside a picture of him and his mother Falak.

Former world champion wrote: “My dear mum has been diagnosed with pancreas cancer, stage 4. Today she’s feeling a lot better and stronger. Please keep her in your prayers.”

Amir’s father told: “We only found out last Thursday and we just want everybody to pray for Falak. She is a strong woman, a fighter and with Allah’s guidance she will pull through this.”

Their wedding was held in 2013 at New York’s five-star – Waldorf Astoria hotel and it cost over £1 million.

The former unified light-welterweight world champion tweeted that he had talked to his advisory team and decided to continue his charity work for Pakistan.
