On Sunday, Pakistani boxer Usman Wazir won the Asian Boxing Federation’s title by defeating Boida Bulldozer, an Indonesian boxer.
According to the details, Wazir won the title by knocking out his opponent at the Amir Khan Boxing Academy. Both the players fought for 10 rounds.
In the featherweight category, Pakistan’s Nadir Baloch defeated Hamid of Afghanistan after the sixth round by 59-52 points.
On the other hand, Bilal Mehsud of Pakistan knocked out Afghanistan’s Aminul Haq in the superlight category, in the second round.
In the middleweight category, Adil Saeed defeated his opponent Abbas Ali.
Pakistan-born British boxer Amir Khan said,
“We would soon announce another boxing event in Pakistan. We will continue to have boxing in Pakistan but it requires the full cooperation of the government and institutions.”
Christian Turner, British High-Commissioner to Pakistan also attended the boxing show held in Islamabad.
