Bollywood actress Ananya Panday refuted rumors of celebrities receiving substantial payments for attending Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s lavish wedding, stating her participation was rooted in friendship and her love for celebrating love.
Responding to the rumors suggesting B-town celebs were paid to mark their attendance at the wedding of Anant and Radhika, the Call Me Bae actress stated, “They are my friends. I don’t understand why people think like this.” She further elaborated, “Obviously, I’ll dance wholeheartedly at my friends’ wedding. I love celebrating love.”
Ananya complimented the Ambani family on their hospitality, pointing out that each visitor was made to feel very welcome. “No matter how many functions were there, they greeted everyone with so much love,” she continued.
“Whenever Anant and Radhika would look at each other, it was just pure love,” she said, reflecting on the couple’s bond. “It felt like violins were playing behind them. That’s something I want in life—no matter how much chaos is around, you and that person share that connection,” she expressed.
Anant Ambani married Radhika Merchant in July, following pre-wedding events. The “big fat Indian wedding of the year” attracted Bollywood A-listers, top Indian cricketers, and influential figures. The celebrations continued in Mumbai until July 14.
