Aaron Carter, a former child pop star, was found dead in his home in Lancaster, California, just a month after putting it up for sale to start a “new chapter.”
On Oct. 29, after lowering the price of the house, Carter posted a screenshot of its listing on Twitter.
“Selling my 2nd home. Real estate has been super good to me. Ready for a new chapter in my 3rd home which I plan on staying to make a beautiful life for my family,” wrote Carter, who has an 11-month-old son named Prince with his ex-fiancée Melanie Martin.
He concluded, “This year has been very hard, but I’ve learned a lot. Thanks to everyone for their support.”

The former pop star, who was best known for his albums Aaron’s Party and LV, first put the house up for sale on September 30 for $829,900. Just over a week before he died, he cut the price by $30,000.
TMZ was the first to report that Carter was found dead on Saturday morning. He was 34 years old. A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman told A body was found just before 11 a.m., but the police did not say who it belonged to.
A representative for Carter didn’t want to say anything, but “Soon, the family and management will put out a statement. Thank you for being kind to me during this hard time.”
The singer of “That’s How I Beat Shaq” got engaged to model Melanie Martin in 2020, and they had their first child, Prince, in November of last year.
