Will Smith is getting ready to make his big-screen comeback with the much awaited film Emancipation.

The 54-year-old King Richard actor posted a sneak preview of his spectacular metamorphosis for the movie on Instagram, giving fans an exclusive first look.

On Monday, Smith shared the suspenseful trailer for the next Apple TV+ movie and declared that it was “the hardest movie I’ve ever created.”

“Blood, Sweat & Tears… LITERALLY! Shoutout to Apple who doubled (and tripled) down on their commitment to deliver this epic story to the world,” the Gemini Man actor wrote in the caption.

Smith also announced that the historical thriller will hit the theatres on December 2, before it will be available for streaming on Apple TV+.

The Pursuit of Happyness actor plays the role of a slave who “embarks on a perilous journey to reunite with his family” in the film. Emancipation is inspired by a true story.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Emancipation will make Smith eligible for Oscar nominations this awards season as well.

Smith is banned from attending the Oscars ceremony for 10 years after he slapped comedian Chris Rock during live telecast of the ceremony, held in March.

In a video she posted on Instagram, the King Richard actress stood next to the The Matrix Resurrections actor as the group sang “Happy Birthday” to her.

“I’m so grateful for all the birthday love yesterday,” the Red Table Talk host captioned the sweet video. “Thank you.”

The couple was accompanied with some friends and their kids, Jayden and Willow, for the outdoor celebration of Jada’s big day.

“I’m just grateful, just deeply grateful,” Jada could be heard saying in the reel as her husband chimed in, “The end … she’s grateful – highest virtue.”

The birthday girl looked gorgeous in a long red coat which she paired with a matching top along with a black knit cap.

Sheree Zampino, Will Smith’s ex-wife, revealed she froze after witnessing the infamous Oscar 2022 moment in which her former husband slapped Chris Rock over a joke he made about Jada Pinkett Smith.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 54, told that she “couldn’t make sense” of the King Richard actor’s headline making move.

“It was one of those moments where I froze,” Zampino told the outlet. “The first thing you do is you try to make sense of it in the [moment].”

“And when it doesn’t make sense in the moment … we didn’t even really have time. I didn’t even deal with it,” she added.

Zampino, who shares son Trey with the actor, 53, went on to say that even though she “couldn’t make sense of it” later on, she thinks the reunion of Smith and Rock would be a “powerful” moment.

“When Chris and Will can come together and heal in a public way and extend forgiveness to one another?” Zampino said. “Do you know how many people that’s gonna help and set free? So, I see the opportunity in it.”

Zampino celebrated her former lover’s Academy Award win when she congratulated the star on Instagram at the time.

“Congratulations @willsmith – you are more than deserving!” Zampino, who was married to Smith for three years from 1992 to 1995 wrote.

Smith finally apologized to the comedian few days back for smacking him during the prestigious ceremony in a video released online.

“I reached out to Chris, and the message that came back is he’s not ready to talk, but when he is, he will reach out,” Smith could be heard saying in the clip.

“I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable, and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk,” he added.

At one point in the clip, the actor also said, “I’m human, and I made a mistake, and I’m trying not to think of myself as a piece of (expletive).”

Willow Smith said during a recent interview with Billboard that the ensuing media reaction after his dad slapped the comedian “didn’t rock me as much as my own internal demons.”

“I see my whole family as being human and I love and accept them for all their humanness,” she added. “Because of the position that we’re in, our humanness sometimes isn’t accepted, and we’re expected to act in a way that isn’t conducive to a healthy human life and isn’t conducive to being honest.”

Willow previously shared a cryptic message in some tweets shortly after her dad resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. “The meaning of life is found in challenge,” Willow wrote, adding: “Life is a series of reactions.”

Will, who is now 53 years old, mounted the stage at the Oscars on February 24 and hit Chris Rock, who is 57 years old, across the face. Will has now uploaded a video on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook on Friday, in which he apologizes to Rock once more and tells him, “I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.”

“I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk, and when he is he will reach out,” Will said. “So I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable, and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.”

Will explained in his Oscars acceptance speech for Best Actor why he didn’t apologize to Rock. Will said, “I was fogged out by that point. It’s all fuzzy.”

The King Richard actor continued by expressing his desire to apologize to Rock’s mother, “I saw an interview that his mother did. That’s one of the things about that moment I didn’t realize, I wasn’t thinking, but how many people got hurt in that moment.”

“So I want to apologize to Chris’s mother; I want to apologize to Chris’s family, specifically Tony Rock [Chris’s younger brother]. We had a great relationship. Tony Rock was my man. This is probably irreparable,” Will said.

After Rock made a joke about Jada’s shaved head during the March ceremony, Will smacked him onstage, earning him a 10-year suspension from ceremonies and associated events from the Academy.
