Man returns after 7-month trip after loosing 62 kg, family shocked

Man returns

When a man returned after a seven-month journey after shedding 62 kg, his family was taken aback.

Bryan O’Keeffe weighed 24 stone 2 pounds (153 kilogrammes) in 2021 and relocated to Mallorca, Spain. When he returned to his home in Cork, Ireland, seven months later, he weighed 14 stone 5lbs (91 kilograms).

Bryan has done everything to lose weight without success. He then decided to adopt “a different approach” by disconnecting from all of his family members.

“In 7 months, I never took a day off. I lost count of the amount of injuries I got but I refused to quit and just kept training through the pain. Every day, I just tried to do one more rep, one more length, one more kilometre – whatever I could do to get 1 per cent better” he wrote on Instagram.

In the first two weeks, Bryan walked 90 minutes every day. He then incorporated six days of weight training per week, three days of swimming per week, and three days of running per week.

Bryan weighed 153 kg after nine weeks and could run 5K steps in 34 minutes.

“It was months of absolute suffering. The first three months I couldn’t do anything other than eat, sleep and exercise. The rest of the time, I was lying on my sofa. I was hobbling just to try to go to the toilet. After the 4th month, my body got used to the constant pounding and it wasn’t quite as bad,” he was quoted as saying. In the last month, he cut his daily calorie intake from 2,200 to 1,750.

Bryan exercised 5 hours a day.

Amber Heard’s trip to Spain criticised by PR professionals

Amber Heard'
  • Amber Heard has been spotted enjoying her vacation in Spain with daughter and girlfriend.
  • Despite owing huge sum of money to ex Johnny Depp and her legal team.
  • PR professionals offer their opinions on how the actor’s most recent move makes her appear when she still owes Depp $10.2 million.

Amber Heard has been spotted enjoying her vacation in Spain with daughter and girlfriend despite owing huge sum of money not only to ex Johnny Depp but to her legal team as well.

Given the criticism she has received for her trip while claiming to be bankrupt, the Aquaman actor has allegedly let loose “flood gates” that have been savagely torn open.

PR professionals offer their opinions on how the actor’s most recent move makes her appear in front of the general public when she still owes Depp $10.2 million and her lawyers $15 million, according to a Newsweek story.

“Anything you do that is covered in the media is like being judged in a global public court,” Kelly Brady, CEO and founder of Brandsway Creative expressed her general thoughts on the matter.

“If you are going through money problems publicly, and then you are photographed living it up on a lux vacation, you’re just opening the flood gates to be ridiculed, to be doubted, and called a liar, even if you are not paying for this trip,” she added.

Another PR expert Jared Shapiro, founder of public relations firm The Tag Experience, shared that from public point of view, the Pirates of the Caribbean star is still “playing it better” following the bombshell libel trial.

“Amber Heard traveling the world, and she can’t pay her bills and Johnny Depp has found love with his lawyer. Even now, after the lawsuit—at least from a PR standpoint—he’s playing it better,” she noted.

“Public relations is always an uphill battle when you’ve got something to try and convince people of,” she added. “It does take effort and a team. It’s also very easy, if you want to pull it off, to hide.

She said that she would advice Heard to “lay low and not to do anything flashy” amid money issues and avoid “shopping or taking a luxury holiday.”

Shapiro continued: “What you do in the public eye needs to support the narrative you are trying to sell, not the narrative the ‘haters’ are trying to create.”

Amber Heard spotted in Spain

Amber Heard
  • Heard was last spotted getting into a private jet shortly after the trial’s verdict,
  • . The Aquaman actress was spotted in Palma de Mallorca as she was seeing her partner Bianca Butti and her one-year-old daughter, Oonagh Paige Heard.
  • Amber Heard’s defamation lawsuit against her ex-husband Johnny Depp ended in a unanimous loss.

After the verdict in the Depp-Heard case was announced, Amber Heard was first observed. After being missing for more than three months, was seen in photographs acquired by TMZ in Spain.

On Friday, September 30, the Aquaman actress was spotted in Palma de Mallorca as she was seeing her partner Bianca Butti and her one-year-old daughter, Oonagh Paige Heard. In July 2021, 36-year-old Heard gave birth to her daughter via surrogate.

TMZ

Amber was captured on camera enjoying the European city with her kid on a swing set and strolling alongside her and a group of pals. Amber had a top-knot and was dressed in all-black casual wear with baggy jeans and a spaghetti strap tank top. Butti was also seen wearing casual attire, consisting of a white button-down shirt and a pair of loose faded blue trousers.

TMZ

Heard was last spotted getting into a private jet shortly after the trial’s verdict, claims the tabloid. Johnny Depp is spotted out and about, but Amber appears to have disappeared.

It is unclear at this time if Heard is visiting Spain temporarily or if she intends to settle there permanently. Furthermore, nothing on her IMDB website indicates that she might be working on any new films. Heard has only worked on two projects, both of which are in post-production: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and In the Fire.

Amber Heard’s defamation lawsuit against her ex-husband Johnny Depp ended in a unanimous loss. After Heard published an opinion article about domestic abuse in The Washington Post in 2018 and referred to herself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse,” Depp filed a $50 million lawsuit against her in Fairfax County. Depp received $5 million in punitive penalties in addition to $10 million in compensatory damages. As reported by NPR, Heard also scored a little victory in her countersuit against Depp when the jury gave her $2 million in compensatory damages but no punitive damages.

New device will investigate Milky Way’s origins

Milky Way
  • The William Herschel Telescope (WHT) in La Palma, Spain, will catalogue five million stars per hour. A super-fast mapping device linked to WHT will analyse the composition of each star.
  • It will demonstrate how our Milky Way galaxy evolved over billions of years. The WHT’s Weave is a giant plate that maps the formation of stars in the Milky Way.
  • It can calculate the speed, direction, age, and composition of each star it observes, resulting in a moving picture of stars from across the Universe. Dr Marc Balcells believes Weave will change our understanding of how galaxies form.

Scientists have upgraded one of the world’s most powerful telescopes with new technology that will reveal the formation of our galaxy in unprecedented detail.

The William Herschel Telescope (WHT) in La Palma, Spain, will be able to catalogue five million stars per hour.

A super-fast mapping device linked to WHT will analyse the composition of each star as well as its speed of travel.

It will demonstrate how our Milky Way galaxy evolved over billions of years.

Prof Gavin Dalton of Oxford University has spent more than a decade developing the ‘Weave’ instrument.

He told me he was “overjoyed” that it was ready to go.

“It’s a fantastic achievement by many people to make this happen, and it’s fantastic to have it working,” he said. “The next step is the new adventure, which is fantastic!”

Weave instrument: It resembles a large metal disc crisscrossed by fiber-optic tubes pointing in all directions. It is hovered over by robotic arms.

Weave has been installed on the WHT, which is perched atop a mountain on the Spanish Canary Island of La Palma. The name WHT Enhanced Area Velocity Explorer refers to exactly what it does.

It is an engineering marvel with 80,000 separate parts.

Astronomers identify the positions of a thousand stars for each patch of sky where the WHT is pointed. The nimble robotic fingers of Weave then precisely place a fibre-optic – a light-transmitting tube – on each location on a plate, pointing towards its corresponding star.

These fibres are essentially miniature telescopes. Each instrument captures light from a single star and channels it to another. This divides it into a rainbow spectrum, which contains the star’s origin and history.

All of this is completed in less than an hour. While this is happening, the fibre optics for the next thousand stars are placed on the reverse side of the plate, which flips over to analyse the next set of targets once the previous survey is finished.

Over billions of years, it grew through successive mergers with other small galaxies. Along with the addition of stars from the new galaxies that join ours, each merger shakes things up enough to result in the formation of brand new stars.

Weave can calculate the speed, direction, age, and composition of each star it observes, resulting in a moving picture of stars in the Milky Way. Prof Dalton claims that by extrapolating backwards, it will be possible to reconstruct the entire formation of the Milky Way in unprecedented detail.

“We’ll be able to trace the galaxies that have been absorbed as the Milky Way has grown over cosmic time – and see how each absorption triggers new star formation,” he explained.

Dr. Marc Balcells, the WHT’s overall director, told BBC News that he believed Weave would change our understanding of how galaxies form.

“We have been told for decades that we are living in a golden age of astronomy, but what lies ahead is far more important.

“Weave will answer questions that astronomers have been trying to answer for decades, such as how many pieces come together to form a large galaxy and how many galaxies were combined to form the Milky Way.”

“There will be a huge amount of things that we will discover that we did not expect to find,” she said. “Because the Universe is brimming with surprises.”
