Chief of Air Staff, PAF, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, who is on a 4-day official visit to Turkey, held meetings with the senior Military leadership of Turkey. According to Pakistan Air Force Spokesperson, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan discussed ways to further promote Pakistan-Turkey defence ties, especially between the two air forces. Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan also called on Commander Turkish Air Force, Gen Hasan Küçükakyüz. Both the commanders held detailed discussion on enhancing collaboration between the two air forces to meet contemporary challenges. The discussion included PAF’s participation in the Anatolian Eagle multinational exercise in Turkey, Turkish Air force participation in various exercises organized by PAF, exchange & training of pilots and cooperation in defence production. This week, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan met Lt Gen Ramiz Tahirov, Commander Azerbijan Air Force. Matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation came under discussion. The Air Chief praised the professionalism of Azerbijan Air Force and assured of PAF’s full support; especially in the domain of training. Cdr Azeri Air Force commended the standards of PAF training system and acknowledged its support towards training of Azeri Air Force personnel.

Tayyip Erdogan to receive coronavirus vaccine today on live TV

To alleviate any public doubts over the effectiveness of coronavirus vaccine, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will receive the vaccine live on television later today (14th January), a spokesman for his rulling AK Party said.

It is pertinent to mention here that Turkey had started administering the shots developed by China’s Sinovac to the health workers on Tursday. Turkey has vaccinated more than 200,000 health workers so far.

The novel coronavirus has killed more than 23,000 people in Turkey.

According to the details, Erdogan will get vaccinated after meeting with AK Party official on live television.

Earlier in December 2021, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had announced to enhance further restrictions as the novel Coronavirus witnessed a major spike across the country.

Erdoğan, amidst increasing virus cases and deaths, announced a complete lockdown on weekends.

The President said the country had opted for the move in light of increasing cases of coronavirus and the surge in deaths as a result of the virus.

Moreover, Turkey had bought 50 million vaccines which would be provided to citizens from the current month, president Erdoğan said.
