‘Zindagi Tamasha’ Set To Release On YouTube & Vimeo

Zindagi Tamasha

This month marks Pakistan’s celebration of Independence and freedom, and filmmaker Sarmad Khoosat aims to liberate something as well. After facing numerous controversies and delays, the highly anticipated film “Zindagi Tamasha” is finally set to release worldwide on August 4, 2023, on Khoosat Films’ YouTube and Vimeo channels.

Despite encountering financial and intellectual setbacks, Khoosat, the director and co-producer of the film, urges the audience to approach it with an open heart and mind.

Initially, “Zindagi Tamasha,” produced by Khoosat Films, received international acclaim, garnering multiple awards and being Pakistan’s official submission for the Oscars. However, due to protests by religious groups, the film faced difficulties in reaching local audiences, despite clearance from all three censor boards. In honour of Pakistan’s Independence Month, the team has decided to directly release the film to the audience.

In an emotional statement, Sarmad expressed his desire to liberate the film during this month of independence, expressing regret for the controversies that overshadowed its original message. He acknowledged the collective sense of loss and perceived failure, emphasizing that it was not just his personal struggle but a reflection of the system’s failure to support independent voices.

Despite the challenges, Sarmad invites viewers to watch “Zindagi Tamasha” with an open mind, separating it from the controversies that surrounded it. He encourages viewers to evaluate the film based on its own merits and form their own opinions.

Recipe: Try This Street-Style Crispy Samosa In Ramadan

Ramadan
  • Begin by making the samosa batter.
  • Make the samosa filling.
  • Fry the samosas until golden and crunchy.

Samosas are always the highlight of the snack platter, regardless of the occasion, holiday, or celebration. No matter how often we eat this traditional Indian street cuisine, we never get tired of it. It can be found all over the nation and is even made in ordinary homes’ kitchens. Even though making samosas is a reasonably simple task, not everyone can make them exactly like they do on the street. Do you frequently notice that your handmade samosas become soggy? Do you ever ponder why your samosas aren’t as crispy as the ones sold in all the street vendors? Your inquiries will be answered soon.

We found some amazing tips to make street-style samosa that are khasta and crispy. For your reference, we wrote down the recipe along with some suggestions. So without further ado. Let’s get going.

How To Prepare Homemade Crispy Samosas:

1. Begin by making the samosa batter. Maida, a pinch of salt, some oil, and pulverised ajwain are used to knead the dough. Ghee is sometimes added, but oil provides samosas a crispier exterior than ghee does. Knead the dough by gently adding water.

Remember to maintain the dough tight, not soft, at all times. If the bread is soft, the samosa will soften quickly after it has been fried. Make sure the mixture is not too rough as well.

2. Give the dough about 15 minutes to settle.

Advice: After the dough has settled for a while, spread some ghee over it. This will guarantee a khasta and crispy outer coating.

3. Make the samosa’s filling. Jeera, hing, ginger, green chilies, whole coriander seeds (dhaniya), and peas should be sautéed. Add pulverised boiled potatoes after that.

Advice: Don’t grate or cut up the potatoes; instead, coarsely crush them.

4. Include spices like garam masala, cumin, turmeric, red chilli powder, and coriander powder. Add salt, chaat masala, kasuri methi, and finely minced coriander leaves as well.

Preferably roast the spice. There shouldn’t be any remaining wetness or water. Once the mixture is dry, let it settle.

5. Next, separate the dough into smaller pieces and make out thin rotis. Dividing each roti in two. To prevent it from opening while it is being fried, dab some water on the edges. Filling is added, then the form of a samosa is sealed.

One spoonful of the aloo combination is adequate. There shouldn’t be too much or too little filling. Additionally, wait a while before frying the rolled and formed samosas in the open.

6. Fry the samosas until golden and crunchy.

To ensure that samosas roast through to the centre and are crispy, fry on medium heat.

Your flawless samosas are now ready!

Twitter outage, users are informed that they have exceeded their daily tweet limit

Twitter
  • There’s some technical issue with Twitter.
  • Account holders were notified that they had exceeded their daily Tweet limit.
  • Experts have warned that such drastic cuts could lead to technical problems.

Some Twitter users were unable to tweet on Wednesday due to technical issues with the website.

Account holders were notified that they had exceeded their daily Tweet limit.

DownDetector, a website that tracks outages, detected the incident shortly before 22:00 GMT.

Elon Musk has reduced Twitter’s personnel in recent months after purchasing the company for $44 billion (£36.5 billion) last October.

Last month, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO stated that Twitter had approximately 2,300 employees, down from approximately 8,000 when he took over.

For months, experts have warned that such drastic cuts could lead to technical problems, however, it is unclear whether the lower workforce was to blame for Wednesday’s outage.

It appears that a portion of the outage was quickly resolved, as many users reported being able to tweet again.

Twitter notified some users that they had over the 2,400-tweet-per-day limit, even though they had not posted on Wednesday.

Users had also experienced issues with Twitter messaging. Several users reported being unable to access TweetDeck, a dashboard that can be used with Twitter.

It is unknown how many people were affected.

“Twitter may not be functioning properly for some of you. Sorry for the inconvenience. We are aware of the situation and are working to resolve it “According to Twitter.

Many users have complained about issues on Twitter in recent weeks, with some believing that locking their accounts would boost the reach of their posts.

Website for technology news The Information stated that Mr. Musk had urged Twitter employees to hold on to new feature development “in lieu of enhancing system reliability and robustness, especially with the Super Bowl coming up”.

Twitter also announced that subscribers to its $8-per-month subscription service in the United States can now send longer tweets.

Subscribers to Twitter Blue can now publish up to 4,000 characters, significantly more than the 280-character limit imposed on non-paying users.

“But don’t worry, Twitter is still Twitter,” the company said in a lengthy tweet announcing the feature.

Meanwhile, DownDetector also reported an outage on YouTube, which at its peak affected a reported 65,000 users.

In a tweet, YouTube – which is owned by Google’s parent company Alphabet – said it was investigating reports that the website’s homepage “is down for some of you”.

“We’re looking into it… really sorry if you’re experiencing this,” they wrote.
