The Manchester United legend, 47, said: “I thought by coming at 2am it was going to be a little bit quieter. I was wrong.

“Everyone had that in mind.

Asked if Britain would ever see her like again, he gently shook his head and said: “I don’t think so, no.”

Beckham was also awarded OBE by Her Majesty in 2003.

He continued: “It’s very emotional, the silence, the feeling in the room is very hard to explain.

“We’re all there saying thanks to Her Majesty for being kind, for being caring, for being reassuring throughout the years she’s been our Queen.

“The legacy that she has left is incredible.

“I think for someone to have led the country the way she led our country for the amount of years she did with the respect that she has gained around the world, not just in our own country, speaks volumes for what she’s done for us.

“Everyone feels the same and that’s why we all queued up today because I think it’s the right thing to do.

“Us paying respect to our Queen.”

The father-of-four added: “I grew up in a household of royalists and I was brought up that way.

“If my grandparents would have been here today I know they would have wanted to be here.

“So I’m here on their behalf of my family and also to celebrate with everybody else.”

“Every time that we stood there and wore those Three Lions shirts and I had my armband and we sang “God Save Our Queen” that was something that meant so much to us and every time that we did it, it was something special,” concluded Beckham.

Despite having 24-hour protection at his country property, the former great player and fashion designer have apparently requested to local council to erect an additional security building.

The Beckhams were stunned after their London property was attacked by robbers who stole thousands of pounds in items.

The power couple now want to create “Fort Knox-style measures” at the north part of the £6million estate to make it more secure as per The Sun.

The design and access statement says as per the outlet, “The position is at the threshold of the grounds immediately around the house and therefore ideal for monitoring access and deliveries.”

The footballer and Posh Spice have also applied for a new gardening tools store which “provides dry and safe storage for hand tools and other horticultural equipment at the far southeast corner of the garden and grounds and includes a practical sink for handwashing.”

The pair previously received approval for a gatehouse at the entrance to their lavish home in June 2020.

This follows a heist at the couple’s London home in March 2022, when the pair’s son Cruz returned home from a night out and feared that someone had broken into their home.

“Sadly the Beckhams were the victims of some fairly professional thieves who have been operating in the area,” a source revealed at the time.

“Fortunately the criminals only made it as far as one bedroom before they ran off,” the insider added “The thieves had broken through a window and darted straight back out of the same one with a small number of items.”

“Luckily none had a huge amount of sentimental value to the family.”

Victoria Beckham is sharing her fun-filled Aspen vacation with husband David Beckham on her social media accounts.

The design mogul recently released a video from their trip to an amusement park in which she bravely attempted to overcome her “biggest fear” while riding a roller coaster with the soccer player.

The former Spice Girl, 48, recounted her open experience as she sat in front of David and videotaped the two preparing for a rollercoaster ride.

In the beginning of the clip, Victoria can be seen visibly terrified and heard saying, “I’m so scared of roller-coasters, so, so scared right now.”

David notes that it’s “not really a roller-coaster” as it later becomes clear that the couple was able to control their own speed while making their way through the mountainside track.

As the two-person car started to make its way around the track, Victoria instantly began to scream. “Don’t go fast, don’t go fast!”

“Oh my God, stop, don’t, no, no. I feel sick. Oh Jesus. Oh my God, slow down!” she can be heard shouting in the video.

On the bumpy ride, the fashion designer was then heard sniffling, to which David, 47, asked, “Are you crying?” while bursting into laughter. “It’s not funny, it’s not funny,” Victoria replied.

Meanwhile, their 11-year-old daughter Harper shouts in the background, “Mom, you’ve got this!”
