In the early morning hours of December 1, Victoria Beckham snuck into the kitchen of the couple’s home in London and discreetly filmed her husband, David Beckham, singing the holiday classic “All I Want for Christmas.”
According to People, Mariah Carey became aware of the covertly recorded film, and she then commented on Victoria Beckham’s Instagram account under the clip, saying, “My new fave rendition love you ladies!” (with one emoji depicting a person laughing, two depictions of a Christmas tree, and two depictions of a red heart).
It is clear from the footage that David was not aware that he was being shot when he was nonchalantly humming along to the melody, calmly sipping his coffee, and checking his phone at the same time.
David, who is 47 years old, became aware of the camera when he was having trouble hitting a high note. After that, a former member of the Spice Girls said to him, “You were struggling with the high note weren’t you?!!”
“Like you do?” David’s response was in good spirits. The soccer player then flashed a grin before singing a high-pitched “you” in sync to the well-known chorus lyric.
